I had two out breaks of shingles 3 months apart. My docs said this is not supposed to happen so frequently.... I am on immunosuppressive therapy for autoimmune disease (Lupus). So I started taking this in late 2017 and have no more outbreaks, though I have also gotten the post-shingles vaccination. Nonetheless, Ill take the success of whichever is working as shingles is horrible, with all the pain and discomfort. The tablets are not so large and easy to swallow, but understand everyone has their own tolerance.

My husband takes these for his canker sores and it seems to help if he takes them consistently and gets enough sleep. Usually he gets a million all over his throat and gums which leaves him in so much pain but with these he doesn’t get as many or any at all sometimes.

I bought these in March 2021 and about 3 to 4 weeks ago they started doing this. I keep them in the bottle, dry, indoors, and in a drawer in my room about 72° so have no clue why they started doing this. I never had a problem with the capsules. I ordered the tablets by mistake and they are a bit large and chalky. I still have quite a few left, so going to try to finish them, then go back to capsules.

I have been using L-Lysine for years, due to reoccurring cold sores. This brand is the best I have found so far. Because they are 1000mg., I only need to take one every day. Even though the pills are large, I dont mind. Really happy with the results. This is either the second or third time I have purchased this brand, and I will continue to do so!

I usually got cold sores 2-4 times a year. I started taking a daily lysine pill (1000 mg), and I think it took months to get a baseline going in my body. I got a cold sore in that first year, though it was much smaller and went away much quicker. Since then, 2+ years, I havent had a single one. I just looked at my order history and found out it was that long and so I thought it was important to give my experience in hope that anyone else who has suffered through pretty painful and embarrassing cold sores could find similar relief. I do think it has to be daily, and when I feel a tickle I take another one, and I also have the lysine/lemon organic lip balm. But now, even when the tickle comes, it goes away without a breakout. Also, you have to stay away from beer and, they say, chocolate. Worked for me, hopefully for you too.

I usually use a different brand of L-Lysine to help heal cold sores. I saw this one and noticed it cost less than my usual brand and thought I’d give it a try. I’m very happy with Amazing Nutrition Amazing Formulas brand. I highly recommend it.

I found that Lysine does help to reduce the severity of Herpes damage. I have been sufferring from Herpes on and above my lips since childhood. Everyone knows it is almost impossible to control or heal this ugly virus :( This is my second bottle of Lysine and although Herpes occured once during the time I was taking tgese pills, it healed TWICE faster and was not that ugly and severe as usually. That is why I plan to take these pills regularly from now on.

I used to randomly get horrible cold sore outbreaks every month or so that have left permanent scars on my lips. It gave me a lot of anxiety and I never wanted to leave the house whenever I got an outbreak. Someone recommended I take L-Lysine & I started about a year ago, taking 1000mg every day. Havent got a cold sore since then. If I feel that a cold sore is coming on I will take a few extra tablets. These are life-savers.
