This rod works as advertised. and is so easy to use. It looks like it will last a long time. I tried it in the rain on dry tinder and a few strikes later I had a fire. I will keep it in my survival bag in my Jeep.

Great sparks. Heavier than I expected. It is the best of several ferro rods I’ve used. You would probably be just fine with the shorter rod. Great product.

The Kräftig Is the workhorse of fire steels. Its XL size makes gripping and striking a breeze. The stretch cord is a nice plus. The Zünden, also by Überleben remains my go to choice due to its lighter weight and wooden handle, but the Kräftig will definitely be my backup. Ive tried many fire steels, but the Überleben fire steels far exceed all of the others in quality and efficiency.

This produces amazing sparks. They are huge!

Not much else to say, except to parrot what everyone else has said. It works just like you see in the video clips. The scraper they supply works incredibly well, the spine of my knife not as well but would still work in a pinch. Worth the money to me

This knife is AWESOME, super sharp right out of the box, the sheath is perfect. I can not recommend this knife more. BUY IT.
