This rod was very easy to use. It created a lot of sparks that easily catches the tinder on fire. I have big hands and this item is large enough and it was very easy to use while striking. It also seems to be top of the line quality. I prefer to use this name brand in other products for camping, hiking and Scout training. I’m a very satisfied customer.

Needed to replace my Light My Fire Scout steel. The Uberleben was a good size, and will obviously last forever. While it works pretty well it just doesnt work as well as my light my fire steel. The ease of use (compared a variety of scrapers that did not work well with the Uberleben) and the difference in effort required to make a shower of sparks was noticeable. In the end I just bought the larger Army size Light My Fire.

So nice to finally find something NOT made in China. I bought one for a birthday gift, we tried it out right after my friend opened it. I loved it so much Im buying one for myself. Remember when America used to make things? Nowadays Im happy to buy any product made anywhere else but China. This is German made I believe. I found the 8 inch size easy enough to work with, when considering the amount of space and the amount of weight I would want to carry hiking.

Even though it may seem a little pricey, it is well worth the money and very easy to use compared to other fire starters Ive tried

What a shower of sparks When I showed my grandson the only thing he could say was wow.

I like that is is so easy to use and has plenty of surface making it easy to hold and work with.

I was impressed on how easy it was to use and how many sparks it created from just one strike.

This knife is AWESOME, super sharp right out of the box, the sheath is perfect. I can not recommend this knife more. BUY IT.
