BISSELL Powerfresh Slim Steam Mop, 2075A

When I had my grubby living room carpet replaced with tile I looked into ways to keep it (and my existing dining room /kitchen floor) clean. Must suggestions pointed to a steam mop. There are lots and lots of choices out there. I settled on this Bissel unit because it came with lots of tools (e.g., for grout, and countertops) and options. You can clean lots of surfaces with it . . . just not paint, please! It comes with a mount that lets you hang the mop and accessories on a wall. A little velcro straps lets you neatly coil the very long AC power cord. The terrycloth like mop heads get grubby quickly. I ordered the unit along with a set of OEM cloth mop heads. This lets you do a big job without having to pause to wash the mop heads. My one caveat: The unit seems fragile. The water tank is clear plastic; dropping the mop could easily shatter it.

I have a large family room, all tile that I wanted to clean the grout. We moved here 6 months ago and have 3 dogs...so the grout was dirty, but like I said new as of 6 months ago. Within 45 minutes I blew through the grout cleaner brush. The bristles bent down to a nub. I was trying not to scrub too hard, let the steam do the work. Same thing with the green round brush. I used that for about an hour and it was gone too. It took me about 2.5 hours to do 800 square feet of tile. Another thing that was annoying (I think all steamers must be like this) is that since the water needs to heat up, you get about 30 - 45 seconds of steam, then you have to wait about 20 -30 seconds for the steam to build up again. So you cant just continually clean. We bought all attachments, extra mops and the mint cleaner. If it wasnt a gift I would have sent it back, just due to going through the brushes so quickly. I just ordered 2 more of each.

The Bissell Powerfresh Slim Steam Mop does a very good job of cleaning floors. My only complaint is that having to hold down the trigger on the handle to activate the steam is very tiring and difficult to hold for a long period of time, especially if you have arthritis in your hands, as I do. It would be perfect if there were a way the trigger could be made to stay down, and then released when you are finished, instead of having to hold it down with your finger while you are mopping.

This steam mop is very versatile I’ve been able to clean the sliders on my windows more thoroughly than I think they’ve ever been cleaned. I use it to clean my walls, it’s able to fit in the little area behind the toilet, I’m able to clean the tops of my ceiling fans without a step stool now, my baseboard, and even the back splash in my kitchen. I used to have a shark steam mop which you have to push in the handle to activate the steam so it was only useful for floor cleaning. This one is a button so I can maneuver it in any direction a please. It also works for steaming fabric on the low setting… it’s a little more pricey than some other steam mops but it’s worth it in my opinion for sure.

I bought this steam mop after a friend told me how wonderful is a steam mop. I choose Bissell because it is a a well-known brand, and it is easy to get some replacement part. You can clean you entire house only with steam. It is very easy to use. Distilled water only. The cord is long enough that you dont need to change the plug to often. I clean my oven rack, and now it is sparkling. I didnt have to scrub too much. Highly recommend if you want to be ecologic.

I literally only used it twice and I have done everything to remedy the problem and it still does not work.

If you have arthritis or carpal tunnel, I would not purchase this model, you have to hold the steam button down continuously and it gets really old and its very uncomfortable. I have been shopping for a new one of these for at least a year. I had to leave my old one at the old house as I didnt have room for some things on the moving truck, moving across country... I have been trying to look for the older Shark that I had and have not been able to find it, you plugged it in, and the steam would just produce, no buttons to hold down and it removed all things on my floors, I rarely had to get down to scrape anything up. This one does not do that. Even a coffee drop, takes more energy/water than it should. I never had to fill the water reservoir more than one time when doing my floors with the Shark, now I have to 3 times. Id like to return it, but I was so sure this was going to be the one, just based on the brand! I tossed the box and inserts away, so Im stuck with it. I do not want anyone else to make the same mistake. The Shark steamer I purchased years ago, was a fraction of the price, and worked so much better, unfortunately i was unable to find that one, I suspect its been replaced with a cheap, breakable like everything else these days.

The steamer is amazing. I just got it but we have used it to clean so many things. Both bathroom floors. Both showers in our bathrooms look brand new. I had a spill in my oven and used the steamer to get the burned on grease off. Did not even have to use the clean cycle that is in my oven. It has so many attachments. Something for everything. It is such great quality, just what you would expect from Bissell. Love the fact that it is hand held and then to do floors just put it on the pole. Came with its own carrier that we hung in the closet. So convenient. The cord is extra long. The pads used to clean floors are great. I just throw them in the washer when we are finished. Knowing that it kills 99% of germs and bacteria is wonderful. Definitely happy with the steamer.

Seems to do a good job cleaning my floors. I dont know if it does it better or worse than the competition. I dont like the fact that theres no trigger lock so I have to hold the trigger all the time while cleaning tyhe floors. And it makes a light thumping noise all the time the trigger is being held.

Worked wonders on my grout. Highly recommend. Good to note that it may still take some scrubbing. Dont expect it to melt away the dirt like magic, but it is definitely more effective than abrasive cleaners and safer for my home. Purchased for my grout, but have used it on my stovetop, mopping my floors, steaming a wrinkled jacket, and cleaning my stone countertops. Have not been disappointed. Cleans thoroughly and sanitizes which is a bonus in todays times. For a household tool 9/10. The only downfall I found was that it is not cordless. But the cord is very long, so distance hasnt been an issue. I only need to move plugs when I move rooms.
