> 3 dayI had an older mostly mechanical timer for a table lamp. I liked to have it scheduled to turn on and off especially if I wasnt home in the belief it might fool burglars someone was there. This is much more accurate as over time it doesnt seem to drift like the former dumb timer. Using the app was easier after having used it for a wall timer Id already installed and configured. I do not integrate these with Alexa or Google however so if thats your intent you will need to either experiment or look elsewhere for guidance. There is a lighted power button so it can be controlled manually as well. However, if used in a darkened room the backlight might be noticeable. In my case, its behind a table in the living room so partially hidden and not an issue.

> 3 dayThese were so easy to connect and work perfect with my google home. I dont even need the extra app cause I just integrated it into my google home app. So cheap for such convenience.

05-04-2025These seem to work pretty well - once theyre set up. They were a little tricky to set up for me as the app didnt find them automatically. I ended up having to add them manually. But, they seem to work fine now.

Greater than one weekIm spoiled rotten because of these smart plugs. I wake up, tell alexa to turn on lamp 1 and start coffee maker. By the time I make it to the kitchen, coffee is made or made enough so I can use pause and serve. So darn handy. If youve never tried a smart plug, then you maybe missing out. These are quality plugs that are easy to set up. Works with alexa, so give these plugs a try. Worth the money. Great value.

> 3 dayMy ATT u-verse router has both 5 and 2.4 GHz channels. Normal operation is to name them the same to allow auto switching between channels. This seems to cause a problem that is not really explained in the instructions. Why should the freq that the phone is connected with affect anything? Its the same IP network. There must be more to it... The Smart Life app suggested that I reconfigure my router to turn off auto switching by naming the 2 freqs with different names. I didnt want to do that. Turns out, I didnt have to. Use the AP mode method instead of the EZ mode method and it works right away. (you have push the device button for 10 sec to get the quick flashing light, then press again for 5 sec to get the slow flashing light.) I also got this to work in EZ mode by moving farther away from the router with my phone to a place that was out of range for the 5 GHz signal, but still connected with 2.4 GHz. That was more of a pain. See p12 of manual. Dont forget that you need a reasonable WiFi signal where the plug will be used. My house isnt nearly covered by the main ATT router. Complaint: page 7 of manual is not at all clear. There should be a link to online setup instructions. The product insert is too crowded. Be aware that after a power failure the switch always reverts to the OFF state. So this is not suitable for a refrigerator or freezer. I think there should be a firmware option setting to allow other possibilities

> 3 dayThese work as a remote switch for any device that can be plugged in. You can use an app on your phone to turn them on or off, or set timers for certain times of day or to turn them off after a certain time. They can be controlled even when your not home. This will be fine with any device that will not have issues if you would just pull the plug. Lights, fans, or stuff like that. My only problems are that they’re a tad bulky, so they won’t really work as well with a surge protector. And that they can only run on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, which can be confusing when setting them up, and now that 5GHz is practically the norm and 10Ghz is starting to come out I don’t have the Amazon Echo, so I can’t comment on Alexa compatibility, but the app does allow you to create groups and shortcuts with Siri on iPhone, and probably does the same for Alexa
