Exactly what I expected. Prints quickly and great quality. I purchased an additional tray and set up was simple.

Printer has worked amazingly & was easy to set-up. Still havent used up the smaller toner cartridge that comes with printer but am excited to see how the auto-ship cartridge system through Amazon Dash works. My favorite feature is the auto-duplex!

I am very disappointed that the wireless printed feature does not work. The printer works fine on a wired network.

Never again, do I have to go fumbling with attachment cords. Thank you, gods of the ethernet! Also loving the fact that I am not a slave to the ink farms. No, it doesnt print in color, but get out your adult coloring pencils if you need color that bad. Sometimes, you just need to print stuff fast. This Brother really does it. Blam. Printed. Done.

This printer is a piece of junk and Im furious. Bought it hoping to finally get a wireless printer that works, and it doesnt. Have been on the phone with Brother for hours, and they cant figure it out either. Wont stay connected to wifi, wont print, stays stuck on receiving data. What a bummer. And now it is past the time Amazon will let me return it. Dont buy this, and if you do, be sure to return it right away!!! Update: Ive let it sit around for a year now, trying to get it to work off and on. Time on the phone with Brother. Nothing works. It will not print wirelessly, and it will not print with cable hook up. Wont buy a Brother again.

Likes: Print quality is good at its price range. Consumables are relatively inexpensive for a laser printer, and have good yields. (And also has a High Yield cartridge option) Can operate on wired and wireless networks. Wakes up from sleep every time. Can print on Avery index card sheets. If it was not for the issue noted below, it would be a great value for its cost. Dislikes: If the printer isnt used for more than a few days, toner streaks appear on the first few print jobs of the day. The cleaning steps are ineffective, and the same thing happens the next day. This means that toner cartridge, and possibly also the drum unit, are defective, according to Brothers Tech Support. However, they will not replace either under the 1 year warranty, since to them, its been more than 90 days since they were purchased (both came with the printer). So Ill have to spend $180 on a $200 printer to see if this actually fixes the problem. Will definitely seek other options, and Id recommend you do the same, as this doesnt seem to be isolated to just a few of these printers.

I bought this printer hoping that a laser printer with a positive reputation would benefit my business. Unfortunately, from the first print job I have had nothing but trouble. Each print job increases the toner mess and smudges every paper. I went through the cleaning process as outlined and it helped for one print job then the smudges began appearing again, getting worse each print job. This was a colossal waste of money for my business.
