> 24 hourSo far i really love this lens. I do event photography and was hesitant about buying this lens for semi-professional work because its a kit lens, but it works great. Make sure you buy a lens hood, preferably get a reversible bayonet hood for convenience, or you may get bad contrast in your photos if light comes into the lens outside the scene, but that may also be a look you are going for.

> 24 hourI am very satisfied with this purchase. Photographing birds thru the house window & hand-holding the camera, Im able to get nice clear results that can be cropped & are still sharp. Id been trying to use a much more expensive & good Canon lens, but it was too heavy for me to carry & hold steady (Im 77 yrs old) so I had not gotten good photos. This lens is so much lighter in weight & I am thrilled with the quality of the pictures Im now able to get. I have used this lens for only a few weeks, including for some indoor, hand-held, non-flash pictures from a distance that also came out very sharp & bright. I definitely recommend this to anyone needing or wanting a light-weight lens to carry & hand-hold.

> 24 hourGreat additional lens. The only bad thing is that I still have to swap out lenses to get both up close and distance shots. Thats on me.....not the lens.

> 24 hourEnjoying this lens. Very fast and quiet, decent quality pictures for a lens of this price, slightly soft at 250mm and some vignetting, though the vignette can be mitigated by moving 1 or 2 f-stops.
