Clover 9506 5 in 1 Sliding Gauge with Nancy Zieman

It arrived promptly. This sliding gauge was purchased for a sewing class. It is higher on Nancy Ziemans website, plus shipping & handling so I was pleased to find it on Amazon. It is a useful, but not a tremendously necessary, tool for me, except for following instructions in the sewing class. It seems to be a popular tool and you as a seamstress may find it more to your liking than do I.

I really love this sliding gauge. It is accurate and easy to use. I have an old metal gauge and the slightest bump will throw your measurements off. This gauge locks into place and its wider so you can use it for tapered pieces and still have an accurate measurement.

Measuring is probably my least favorite part of sewing. However, this sliding gauge has made it a lot easier to get accurate measurements when cutting fabric with my rotary cutter and mat. I use it along with a clear ruler, and it really helps. The locking feature makes it a lot easier to get accurate measurements. Ive also used a metal ruler with a plastic piece that didnt lock. This one is much better.

VERY useful sewing table tool. I have had the standard metal sliding sewing gauge for decades and this one is a great improvement. Glad I purchased it.

Smaller than I thought it was going to be, but it does everything I thought It was going to do, I really like it

This item is very well made and doesnt slide unexpectly up or down so that your measurements get scewed. I had one of the metal ones and it was forever getting accidently moved so that Id get my measuments off sometimes. This works and will be a much appreciated device when accuracy is a must.

I had to buy three of these I love them that much! This is the very best seam gauge Ive ever used. The center is 1/8, one half is 1/4, and the whole bar is 5/8. It makes it so easy and painless to mark seams and do quick measuring. The hem guide locks in so you are consistently measuring as you mark. This has become my favorite sewing notion in my craft room!

While I like the guage, I would have expected it to be made from a harder plastic. That was a disappointment. Other than that, it works as described and is a useful addition to my sewing room.
