> 3 dayI bought a Dyson V10 a few years ago, and I love it. I moved to a new house, and my stuff has been in storage for several months, and my place was just getting too dusty for simple sweeping clean and/or mopping the floors. So I decided to give the V11 a chance. The Time Remaining Meter: Thats a cool feature, but not terribly important for me personally. It was easy to get accustomed to how much vacuuming I could do with the V10 before I had to charge it again. The Real-Time Carpet/Floor Adjustment: Not very impressed with the smart speed setting when rolling over throw rugs, at least. I have tile and wood floors, and only have small throw rugs in the bathroom, for example. It doesnt really register and speed up until Im about 40%-60% done with the 3x5 carpet. I think it would be more convenient if you have larger carpet space to vacuum over. Conclusion: Other than those two additions, this is basically the V10, but revised. Either model is a good purchase. I only had cheap $30-$40 Dirt Devil small vacuums for 20+ years, and got tired of the terrible efficiency. It also was annoying when a model I had would no longer have replacement bags and pieces after a couple/few years. The Dyson was initially something that made me think What the heck are you doing spending this much for a VACUUM?!, only to go home and vacuum my entire place in 20 minutes. I was floored (pun intended), because it used to take 20 minutes to do just the living room! So I recommend considering these models if you want a mobile, not too heavy, and reliable vacuum that is really easy to empty the dust into the trash. The attachments are nice as well, but... ADVICE: Adjust your budget to include the fluffy cleaner head. That is amazing if you have tile and/or wooden floors.

> 3 dayI use this product 6/7 days a week (yes I do) and I can tell you its really made my life easier during the last couple of years (and counting). Its a breeze to pickup dirt and debris from the floor and Im able to clean the entire house with battery to spare (~30% left once done). I can even use it to clean sofa and chairs in addition to cleaning the floor. As of this writing, this product is 42% cheaper compared to when I bought it (sigh). However, if I divide the purchase cost by the number of days Ive been using it non-stop, its been a very smart investment (less than what you spend on your coffee, lets put it that way). Now the downside - customer support is pretty much useless. Theres a known issue with the trigger that requires you to replace it after some time . Mine failed 1-week after my 2 year warranty expired. Support insisted this was either a battery issue or that the entire motor needed replacement (nonsense). I did a google search and found about the broken trigger issue and bought a replacement in Amazon. Dyson support wasnt even able to offer me a replacement trigger and only offered to notify me if it ever was available. I disassembled the machine on my own and replaced the trigger (thank you youtube). Its back in business :) In summary, this is a very smart investment and no regrets with this purchase. However, per my experience, be aware of the trigger issue and the fact that Dyson Support is pretty much useless (a shame considering the quality and functionality of this product).

> 3 dayPutchased a second one!! NOTHING CAN BE IMPROVED once you put a little dab of wax on the tube you must remove to dump the hair & dirt. This vacuum is seductive, “use me, vacuum now !! USE ME!! “ it silently screams! I leave it in corner by dining room and every time I pass it I want to vacuum the little tiny stuff that accumulates every day. I have 8 cats in the house, (some stay in different areas) and the power is so underrated. Make payments on this sucker, never EVER vacuum with that damned tether called a CORD again. You will never regret it and be glad this old 70 yr old lady spoke up. It even gets halfway under a king-sized bed!! Vacuum the remainder from other side of bed!! I have never used one of the cheaper sticks, but with two large Lithium batteries and all the accessories they cannot compare. My gawd, women, trust me. It’s worth every penny. 105° outside, yah gotta have AC. Dirt: yah gotta have THIS CORDLESS high-powered Dyson.

> 3 dayDysons are expensive but I wouldnt buy anything else. We have 2 German shepherds and even if we didnt, Id buy this. Amazing how much it picks up while regular vacuums pick up so much less. The amount of hair and dust it picks up every couple days....I could make a wig.

> 3 dayI dont write reviews very often but felt I needed to based on negative reviews I read. I was hesitant to drop $600 on a vacuum because of the reviews, but most of the negative reviews have no merit, IMO. First of all, the vacuum is not that heavy...at 6.5lbs, its two pounds lighter than a gallon of milk. If you cant carry a gallon of milk around then youre in pretty terrible shape. Not only that, but when youre actually vacuuming, some of the weight is alleviated by letting gravity do its work. Second, having to hold the trigger down is not bad at all. You dont have to squeeze the d*mn thing as hard as you can to get it to run. You barely have to touch it to trigger the vacuums power. You can have a very relaxed hand while using this vacuum and not run into any issues. The different modes seem to work fine. Its pretty incredible how much stuff it picks up when its on turbo mode. Its true the battery doesnt last long when using it, but it has pretty good suction on auto so you really shouldnt need to use turbo too often unless you want to do a deep cleaning. I cant comment on the issue of the vacuum not working after a couple of months. Weve had it for two months and it still works, so only time will tell if that issue comes up.

> 3 dayAbsolutely loving it.This is my third Dyson vacuum, two uprights and this cordless. You are getting an upright, which is lighter, cordfree, easier to manuever, quieter, has more suction, and can get to places the uprights couldnt. You are also getting a handheld you can use in the car, unencumbered by a cord, which is also terrific for quick cleanups and dusting around the house.Throw in the handy docking station which keeps the vacuum constantly charged, while also keeping it stowed, and you have the perfect cleaning tool. This is an actuaI 2 in 1 vacuum, unlike the upright canister vacuum which is a chore to use when using attachments because of the unwieldy hose.I am interested in the technology that goes into such a tool,as well as its ability to clean my house, and this is as good as it gets.Would I have ever thought I would ever spend this much on a vacuum,no,but I am glad I did and it is well worth the money. And the fact that Amazon allowed me to purchase this vacuum over 5 months interest free, makes this purchase a no brainer and just shows how Amazon stays ahead of its competition with incentives such as this.Highly recommended. As a footnote, when purchasing this vacuum, the serial number is visible on the outside of the box. Before you break the seal and it becomes a used vacuum, register the vacuum before ever opening the box and breaking the seal.Once Dyson confirms your warranty, which was almost instantaneous, then go ahead and unbox, that way if there is a warranty problem, the vacuum remains a brand new, unopened item which can be easily returned.

I read cookbooks for fun
Greater than one weekEven though there are close to 5,000 reviews on this product and this will probably never get read, I feel compelled to write something because this has been a game-changer for me. Apparently, bending down and plugging in a vacuum was inhibiting to using my former vacuum. I did not know this until I got the Dyson. The Dyson is always charged up, and now I can just grab it and start to vacuum. No more stooping down and trying to pick up one hair off the bathroom floor (where, you know, theres never just one.) Instead, I just run in with this cordless vacuum cleaner. So convenient! Its also easier than my previous vacuum to switch out the attachments and seems just as powerful, even though it is much smaller. But its small size makes it a lot more nimble and easier to get in awkward and tiny spaces. So yes, it has a nice amount of pros. But if Im being honest, the best part about it is the no bending down to plug in a cord. I know this seems like such a minuscule benefit and of course, there are other vacuums that do this. But this one is powerful, unlike my other cordless vacs. Really, it does everything my giant full-size vacuum did but it does it better and because its so convenient, I use the vacuum more and have more positive connotations with this one. I dont know anyone who really likes to spend their money on boring vacuums and that kind of thing, but I see what all the hype is about. I am not a neat freak yet I use this all the time and my house feels so much cleaner. So happy I made this purchase!

> 3 dayI wish I could return this product. I’ve had this product since January of 2020. It worked well for about one year. But it hardly works now. Barely picks up hair. I have to change the filter each time I use it. When I’m done with it and go to hang it up, it drops a bunch of dirt and stuff that was supposed to be sucked up. I’m in the market, yet again, for a new vacuum. Super disappointed.

16-04-2025So... here is my issue. 1 - Dyson service and repair accused us of submitting our request to repair or replace our unit after it was out of warranty when, in fact, our original contact for service with Dyson took place 2 months before the 1 year mark. I was shocked by that accusation since I very clearly documented that the unit failed after normal use within 9 months. However, I did not take offense given my respect for the Dyson brand and reputation. 2 - I have gone out of my way to submit the unit for repair, driving 45 minutes to a facility on the far side of Orange County, after having had no response for over 3 months - which led to the warranty date issue through no fault of my own. At the Dyson facility, I and many other customers waited in the parking lot for over 90 minutes as the service hours posted on the Dyson website did not match those posted at the service facility. We all bonded, traded stories and patiently waited and waited in our cars. We were all polite and courteous with your one service tech who was clearly overwhelmed, understaffed and overworked. A very poor showing from a major global corporation. We then waited 3 months for the unit we brought in for repair to be fixed and returned. 3 - We accepted without raising a fuss when we were told the unit couldnt be fixed and that we had to buy a new part, going out of pocket for nearly $100. This was when we were again accused of having missed the warranty period, all without evidence and without consideration of the prior customer journey we had been on. But again, I bit my lip and accepted things given my respect for your brand and how much my wife liked her vacuum. 4 - Dyson took our payment of $95.00 and we then waited for 3+ months for the unit to be shipped, and never once did Dyson proactively send a notification of a delay or part unavailability. 5 - And... and is it now became to be the pattern of always failing to meet ever falling expectations, Dyson did not provide a confirmation that our $95.00 was credited to my account subsequent to Dysons inability to deliver the part ordered. 6 - Dyson then directed us to a new link - see email below - to order the part directly. 7 - We felt almost elated thinking that finally this saga would come to an end. But alas, no such luck. Following the link, we were advised that the unit part was not in stock and there would be no news for when it might be available. 8 - So, in summary, a wonderful Dyson vacuum that we spent about $800 on in January 2020, failed by the end of September, 2020. We are now in May of 2022. We have been Dyson customers for about two and a half years, but about 3/4 of that time period, we have been unable to use a very expensive vacuum, the high price of which would seem to justify a better than average experience across every facet of customer success. 9 - I am so very sorry to say that Dyson, across your entire service organization, success simply has not been achieved. And Im sad to say that given my passion for the engineering excellence of our product designs, I can no longer express passion nor any enthusiasm for the very low standards of customer support we have been subjected to consistently and without fail. 10 - I feel trapped and be compelled to order a part and keep waiting for when it finally becomes available. But in the meantime, I shall be tireless in letting others know of the dismal experience of being a Dyson customer. These expensive units can fail within 9 months and yet, once that happens, the entire organization from the web site, to supply chain, to onside customer support to website services, seems geared towards not fixing anything. With that type of execution standard, I will not be surprised to learn that our story is not the exception, but perhaps the norm. That would be a heartbreak given where the Dyson brand stood in our previous level of esteem, but alas, consistent with our much downgraded experience thus far.

> 3 dayWe typically just use it one room at a time, but it should be able to last a few rooms. Its also light enough and portable enough to carry up a flight of stairs easily. There are two issues I have with it though. First, its top heavy. Which is obvious, since everything is up top. So, even though its lightweight, for my elderly parents, its not as easy to use. The second issue is more of a design issue. You have to keep your finger on the trigger. Granted its a very light trigger. But when you add in this is top heavy, it easily gets very difficult juggling the weight with the need to constantly pull the trigger. I would have preferred an on off trigger, so that you can hold the vacuum however is most comfortable. As for the vacuum itself. It sucks everything up. What I was most impressed with was how much dust it picks up. Definitely a lot more than my older vacuum. The attachments are also easy to put on, and take off. Emptying the vacuum is easy with the one touch ejection. But definitely empty the vacuum outside in the trash can, as dust does seem to fly around when cleaning it. Other than that, it does whats advertised. Can be used on carpet or hardwood floors. it rolls easy, although cornering takes a bit of work.
