There is another seller on Amazon that uses a very effective product title that leads you to believe that you are getting TWO brackets instead of one. Of course in that detailed description the seller clarifies its for ONLY ONE bracket, but its such a simple product, and the fact that most swing-sets will need two, someone like me might just hit click and buy. I was a bit shocked when only ONE bracket showed up. I sent that ONE bracket back primarily because I thought there listing was a bit shady, and instead I bought this set of TWO brackets. It comes with everything you need and includes all the bolts. The brackets are strong and produce a study platform for a solid swing-set. Im very happy with the product, AND it was cheaper buying this set of brackets then buying from the other seller. If this is what you are looking for, go for its a good quality product.

Used these in combination with a middle bracket to make a 16 A-frame swingset. Pros: + Durable paint and steel, holding up perfectly after a few months in the elements + Included GALVANIZED hardware - important! + Snug fit - I see a lot of people complain about it being a tight fit for a standard big box 4x6. I see that as a good thing because I know its not going anywhere. About 15 minutes with a hammer and chisel and youll be good to go, but Id also recommend letting your pressure treated wood dry out for a week or two beforehand to make it easier. Cons: - As others have said, regular 4x4s fit a little loose in the leg holes. I didnt use shims or anything, but I wish they fit a bit more snug. - Lack of documentation: A little time with an angle finder and some experimenting and I found that a 15 degree bevel and 15 degree miter will get your legs to sit more or less flat on grass. It would have been helpful if the angles for the legs were provided by the vendor. All in all Im happy with the brackets; for less than the price of a premade swingset we got to build our own custom one.

This is a great way for people that are reasonably handy but dont have access to a full woodworking tools to be able to build their own custom wooden swing set. If you are looking to build your standard 6 to 8 foot tall three swing swing set for little kids, a full kit from your local hardware store or big box store is a better deal. However, if you are looking to build something you cant find in a big box store, and dont have the tools to cut 4 x 4 and 4 x 6 lumber, this is the ideal solution. Here are some tips, some of which have already been mentioned in previous reviews: This is a single bracket. You will need two to build an entire frame. I recommend getting the hardware kit that goes with this bracket, as opposed to trying to find and buy all the necessary bolts and such locally. You will also need to buy two of these kits to go with your two brackets. Youll also need one for by six timber and four 4 x 4 timbers that are at least 8 in length. Swingset anchors are also recommended. I also recommend emailing the manufacturer for the PDF of the instructions for the standard swingset kit. You can then use that as a guideline for building your own custom set. And it will show you what drillbits you need, how swings should be spaced, and how the general assembly works. Chances are if you buy pressure treated lumber, your 4 x 6 beam is going to be a very snug fit. You are better off having a belt sander on hand to sand the ends down for an easier fit. Belt sanders are only about $40 to buy for about $25 to rent for the day. While you have that sander, you might want to go ahead and sand all your timbers anyway so kids dont get splinters. This is my only complaint with the project, it took considerable time getting the beam sanded down to fit the bracket. This is probably because the bracket is designed for a full kit that has two 2x6s bolted together instead of a single 4x6 beam. This was an easy weekend project for the two of us. And had we not used all 12 foot long timbers, we wouldnt have needed a third person to help us raise it after assembly. If you are just using 8 foot or 10 foot timbers you dont need additional help. If you do choose to use longer 4x4s as we did, the standard swings you can buy might have chains that are too short for a frame that height. You will need to buy additional chain to lengthen them. Our local Lowes hardware store was able to deliver all the lumber needed for this project, which was great since we cant fit 12 foot lumber in our vehicle. I would buy this again, and be able to build something even faster knowing all of this ahead of time.

So this made building a swing set for my son so much easier. It’s literally is just getting the lumber (we did take the pieces to Lowe’s to make sure they fit well as suggested) and drilling the pilot holes/screws. My only recommendation is getting different hardware. 2 of the screws it came with broke halfway in as we were drilling which sucked to get out. Still would highly suggest this product.

For what a metal swingset cost you can use these brackets and treated lumber and get 30 years for the same cost. This kit requires no cutting if you use the recommended lengths. you basically need a hammer a decent rachet and a 1/2 socket . 1 hour of time. 4x6 are not easily easy to come by I used two 2x6x10s for my top beam I glued the boards and sandwiched them. Its so heavy I cant see flipping it but concrete the legs inbthe ground would be wise

Delivery for an Amazon filled order took way too long. Made in China and the delays cost using the items with the intended child. Durability is tbd.

Product is perfect for building a back yard swing set. I built it during the pandemic of 2020 as all the local playgrounds were off limits. The kids absolutely love it and play on it everyday now. The joints and wood beams took about an hour from start to finish to install. I used pressure treated wood from a local lumber yard here in the Northeast. I used (4) 10 foot 4x4 beams, and (1) 10 foot 4x6 beam. The 4x4 beams fit perfectly in the brackets, but the 4x6 beam needed a lot of wood shaved off. The wood was not wet and I stored it in my garage for over a week prior to installation. To make the 4x6 fit, I used a standard block planer and removed at least 1/8 of an inch off of each side of each end. Even so, I still had to used a block of wood with a shock-proof rubber mallet to seat the joints all the way in. After that, everything else was a breeze to install. Some have said the included zinc coated lag bolts are incorrect for pressure treated wood (true), but the lag bolts supplied with my kit were indeed galvanized, and definitely not zinc coated. The other notable tip for building this kit is to have a lot of help for installing the 4x4 legs, as well as a step ladder. Four helpers is ideal, but two sturdy adults can make it work. For installation, first install the joints onto the 4x6 beam, then a 4x4 beam on each opposing joint with it laying down. Bolt them in securely, then grab your help for lifting the three attached beams and hold them upright. For the other two opposing beams, have your helpers slowly tilt the assembly towards the angle that it will attach to the other 4x4 beams. Install the last two 4x4 beams and bolt in place. I was able to comfortably put two swings (one standard and one bucket), and one trapeze bar, with 15 spacing between each swing. The swing seats I used recommended 18-22 spacing between each chain, so I did 20 for both, and the trapeze bar was 18 of spacing.

These framing brackets made building our grandchild a sturdy swingset amazingly easy. They are heavy, strong, and easy to fit (after a little adjustment with a hammer and board scrap to flatten a couple of shallow dents, Quality Control might want to pay more attention to that). We used one 4x6x12 and 4 4x4x10s for a nice wide, and tall framework. That height is perfect for the double saddle swing height, and an adult height sling swing. We added extra chain to lower one of the sling swings, and the platform swing to small person height. It is popular! And strong enough for an adult or two to enjoy some playground memories. Suggestions: - Be sure to leave *at least* 12 between swings. - Install all of your swing anchors *before* you assemble the frame. - Make sure at least one end of each of your timbers will fit cleanly and snugly into the brackets, and mark it so you dont have to guess before assembling. (We used a flapwheel sanding disk on the angle grinder to adjust the ends of the top span, and one leg.) - We also used the angle grinder with sanding disk to rounding the corners a bit, all down the length of all four legs. (safer if a child happens to run into it) - Do make sure that you only drill your pilot holes half the depth of the lag screws, so they will tighten down well. - Have at least a couple of strong adult friends help to stand it up. - After erecting, move the bottom of each of the legs out to its far corner till it stops (there will be a little play, and you want to minimize that). - Check that there is no movement, by leaning/pushing on the legs in all directions. - Hang those swings, and call in the kids! (you may want to take a turn on it first, after all, you earned it).

These brackets are great! Made putting together an A-frame swingset extremely simple. We bought the following from Home Depot: -12 ft top beam (6 x 4 pressure treated beam) - 4 x 10 ft side legs (4 x 4 pressured treated beams) Then we got swingset anchors for all sides. We went with the 12 ft top beam because we wanted to get as much space on the beam as possible. We got the 10 ft side beams because it gives more swing radius/height for when my kids get older. However, we could have easily done 8 ft beams on the sides. Once we had the beams, we sanded the rough edges to prevent splinters, then coated with stain/sealer before putting together. We did have to sand 2 of the beams at the end where they go in to the brackets. Id read about that from another review and glad I did. Beams are not uniformly cut and not exact, so just make sure you have a sander handy in order to get the ends in, if needed. The whole thing took less than a few hours total. I should note that we are newbies to putting swingsets together, but Id read another review from a rookie whod put it together herself in a few hours, which gave us confidence we could do it. Bottom line, if we can do it, you can too! Also, highly recommend a disc swing and horse glider swing (those are the two we put on this). My kids love them!
