> 3 daythis made it so easy to build a swingset! no measuring or cutting required. less than an hour to build. the 4x6 did not fit into the bracket. we beat it in with a rubber mallet. totally destroyed the mallet and took about 30 mins of hard beating. sanding it down would be wise. our lumber sat in the rain for a number of days before building so maybe it had expanded with water. the 4x4s fit in very easily though. after getting the wood into the bracket you just drill pilot holes and then insert the bolts with the legs in the air. then we measured for swings. i purchased four 3/8 x8 eye bolts (for two swings) instead of swing hangers to save money. i used a 4x6x8 top beam and four 4x4x8 legs. for the swings i measured 22 from the end of lumber (not inside of legs, end of lumber) 16 for second swing chain, 20 between swings, 16 for second swing chain, 22 to end of lumber. takes two people to flip over. no need to add A frame or secure to ground. this thing is sturdy!! total cost for 2 swing swingset: $185.$80 for brackets with hardware included. i purchased 2 swings with chains on amazon for $40. roughly $65 for lumber, 4 eyebolts with nuts, 8 washers at home depot.

> 3 daySetup wasnt toughest all. Seems pretty sturdy so far. Two things to consider. 1. Buy better hardware. Had one bolt snap off. 2. Shave down the edges of the 4x6. It makes it easier to slight these over it. The first side I had to beat in with a hammer and 2x4. Shaved the other side and it slid right on.

> 3 dayMany years ago, my father bought a swing for our camp property that has sentimental value to me. Over the years, it has seen its share of weather and was starting to look pretty ragged. When he passed away in 2020, one of the first things I wanted to do was rebuild the swing. Whoever built it originally had basically just nailed some boards together and this was an awesome find for the rebuild. I was able to get it put together over the course of a couple of days (staining and sanding time included). Now the swing is stronger than ever -- a theory tested when I went to the property a couple of months ago to find a decent-sized tree had fallen on it... but it was still standing and still sturdy.

Greater than one weekThis is a great way for people that are reasonably handy but dont have access to a full woodworking tools to be able to build their own custom wooden swing set. If you are looking to build your standard 6 to 8 foot tall three swing swing set for little kids, a full kit from your local hardware store or big box store is a better deal. However, if you are looking to build something you cant find in a big box store, and dont have the tools to cut 4 x 4 and 4 x 6 lumber, this is the ideal solution. Here are some tips, some of which have already been mentioned in previous reviews: This is a single bracket. You will need two to build an entire frame. I recommend getting the hardware kit that goes with this bracket, as opposed to trying to find and buy all the necessary bolts and such locally. You will also need to buy two of these kits to go with your two brackets. Youll also need one for by six timber and four 4 x 4 timbers that are at least 8 in length. Swingset anchors are also recommended. I also recommend emailing the manufacturer for the PDF of the instructions for the standard swingset kit. You can then use that as a guideline for building your own custom set. And it will show you what drillbits you need, how swings should be spaced, and how the general assembly works. Chances are if you buy pressure treated lumber, your 4 x 6 beam is going to be a very snug fit. You are better off having a belt sander on hand to sand the ends down for an easier fit. Belt sanders are only about $40 to buy for about $25 to rent for the day. While you have that sander, you might want to go ahead and sand all your timbers anyway so kids dont get splinters. This is my only complaint with the project, it took considerable time getting the beam sanded down to fit the bracket. This is probably because the bracket is designed for a full kit that has two 2x6s bolted together instead of a single 4x6 beam. This was an easy weekend project for the two of us. And had we not used all 12 foot long timbers, we wouldnt have needed a third person to help us raise it after assembly. If you are just using 8 foot or 10 foot timbers you dont need additional help. If you do choose to use longer 4x4s as we did, the standard swings you can buy might have chains that are too short for a frame that height. You will need to buy additional chain to lengthen them. Our local Lowes hardware store was able to deliver all the lumber needed for this project, which was great since we cant fit 12 foot lumber in our vehicle. I would buy this again, and be able to build something even faster knowing all of this ahead of time.

> 3 dayThere are no instructions provided but its easy enough to figure out. Be sure to buy pressure-treated ground contact wood for 1) the swing set to last and 2) to keep the carpenter bees away. Also, its easier to stain the wood with a quality outdoor stain or sealer before you assemble it.

13-04-2025Only problem I had was the company mailed me a single bracket when I ordered a double. I was required to send the single back and received the double the next day. All the hardware and brackets are very sturdy. Completed assembly in about an hour. Both my sons and myself are very pleased. (4x6x10, 4x4x8). Don’t even try and make the legs 10’ it looks ridiculous. Hope this helps.

Greater than one weekThis worked perfectly. Was confusing on what length 4x4 I needed but I just stuck with an 8’ and it was just right.

Greater than one weekI looked at many different swing set kits and all had many bad reviews. Things like pieces missing, to holes mis-drilled, to cracked lumber and even broken materials. I found these brackets from Eastern Jungle and I bought them, a couple of swings and some very sturdy, treated lumber (4 X 4 & 2 X 6) and built my own swing set. It currently only have two swings, but our daughter is only 2, so thats all she needs at the moment. I will add a slide later this summer. I will also be sanding the wood to make it smooth to prevent from splinters, and I will paint the wood to help protect it from weathering. The brackets come with the bolts and washers needed for assembly. I used a rachet and socket, but an impact gun or drill would have made the assembly go much faster. If you are looking for a swing set for a young child, you should consider building something like this instead of spending money on a kit that has thin, cracked wood. UPDATE: JUNE 2022. I added the slide and built a platform and steps. I also put a top on the playhouse portion. The swings, slide, brackets, the red, yellow, & green tarp, and the swivel anchors for the swings all came from Amazon. After sanding the wood, I painted the entire set with a good quality exterior paint.
