Working great with Home Assistant.. The only thing is that I needed to add mini router near EVL4 card, because network didnt work - 12m lan cable lenght. Also I hope that they will implement custom NTP server IP address so that I can use in offline mode..

The many videos made the install easy. No need for a monitoring service is your phone is on your hip.

Purchased about a year ago, it has been working flawlessly and it has already payed for itself. Being able to monitor your panel remotely with no monthly charge was one of the requirements for choosing a panel initially. I recently had a configuration issue with my panel, Eyezon has a ticketing system, so I sent a ticket in. Within a hour or two they had the configuration changes required which fixed the issue. I am still in awe of the amazing value, you use their infrastructure, and they offer support and firmware upgrades, and all you pay is a one time hardware fee.

This is a great device if you want to do self-monitoring of a DSC alarm system (check models before buying). Installation is simple. This uses a hosted solution (cloud based), but has no fees for basic service. You can see anything your alarm panel sees. Its a great way to extend existing alarm sensors to a home automation system (i.e. you can trigger of your existing wired motion sensors instead of buying new wireless ones - wired is better). It also allows remote arm and disarm, which is great when on vacation. My only desire would be for an API spec to be released so that it can be monitored locally without the use of the cloud. This might be available, but Ive not found one yet for any of the automation controllers.

Great add-on for our alarm system. It was pretty easy to install, and works perfectly. I continue to use our usual professional monitoring service, but this works well in parallel and provides me with instant alerts and remote control. I wish the app was a bit more modern, and that the alerts were more attention getting.

I think that most people shopping for this already have an understanding that it takes alarm system programming and wiring knowledge to get up and going. I installed this on a Honeywell Vista 20p alarm system that was already installed in my house by ADT. I had to use the backdoor method to reprogram the installer and master codes for programming. I was able to program mine without the alphanumeric 6160 keypad. I didnt venture off into the individual zone programming, but everything seems to be working fine as-is. The same as others have mentioned there is no official mobile smart phone app. Eyez-On provides a mobile website they call the mobile portal link. They basically generate a web URL to your device with no username or password authentication. If someone has the link they can view everything going on with your alarm. There are third party apps. For iOS there is an app call allSecure that connects to the Envisalink module directly by ip address. If you want to control it remotely you need to setup the proper port forwards on your router and a dynamic DNS account helps. For Android there is Envisadroid. Ive heard it works better on DSC equipment, but I had issues with my Vista 20p. You can setup the alarm to send email or SMS notifications for free. This includes setting the alarm, alarms, disarms, trouble codes, etc. They do have a premium alert service for ($5/month) that allows things like sending you a SMS message every time a zone has activity. They call this zone following. Maybe you have a gun room and you want to receive a text message every time the door is opened regardless if the alarm is armed or disarmed. You can do this for one zone for free. If Eyez-On provided an iOS app they would get 5 stars. This is still a solid product and Im looking forward to the improvements they make.

Set up with Honeywell Vista 20p.. instructions made it easy. Sort of a cheesy name but the product works well.

Having heard about envisalink for many years, I decided to use their product for my parent’s home. They advertise that you don’t need to pay monthly but you will need to if you want instant notification for your zone faults. I understand that they need to pay for servers to upkeep the traffic, but why can’t you let me use my own SMTP server to mail my own notifications? After using this for a while, I realized that everything about this product is antiquated. The web user interface is terrible probably dating back to 2008 technology. The iOS app was probably written back in iOS 5 days. Everything is being propped up by legacy software and it shows.

I had bought a Honeywell Vista 21IP main board and 6160 keypad to replace my old alarm. I thought that since the Vista board included internet capability I could login and monitor it. Not a chance - only an alarm monitoring company can do that via Alarm Net. After reading customer comments where the person wanted to do the same thing someone suggested this Envisalink board. I am here to say this board works great and was easy enough to install and get working. It is basically a keypad with an onboard internet server that allows the user to control it over the internet. It has a wired connection but I needed wireless so I used a travel router that I had which is smaller than a deck of cards. It has the capability of being configured as a wireless bridge. Using a short RJ45 cable to connect the Envisalink to the bridge creates a wireless connection to the router. I used my laptop to configure the bridge with my SSID and password and got it working then when I connected the Envisalink it connected immediately, no problem. You need to follow the instructions for the Envisalink and create an online account first. After that the device updates itself. There is some system programming required via the 6160 keypad but I was already familiar with that having configured the system when I installed it. There are lots of videos on YouTube showing you how to do all that. I can now monitor my system via the internet or by using the phone app. I can turn the alarm on and off and get alerts. There is also a very low cost monitoring service that you can sign up for with no contracts. I highly recommend the Envisalink if you have a compatible Honeywell of DSC alarm. I am tickled pink with it.
