Greater than one weekAfter switching to Cox, I lost the phone line to my Vista20P Alarm System , I bought the EVL-4 and it was delivered the next day. Connecting the module to the box was a breeze (5 minutes top) but having an Ethernet line to it was not. As I did not want to run a long cable to my router, I have a choice of using either the PowerLine, which is not safe (thieves can tap to my network from external outlets) or a WiFi range extender (chosen path). After configuring my Edimax WiFi range extender to work in Bridge mode (i.e. capture the WiFi signal through my home SSID and forward to the Ethernet line), I was able to communicate to the Alarm box through internal network. I also needed to setup my router to assign a static IP address using the EVL-4 MAC address, next was to setup the Port Forwarding (TCP 4025) to allow access to my internal network of 192.168.x.x from external source (such as eyezon.com). I dont need to repeat how to register with Eyezon.com and setup my Vista20P as other people already explained in details. Brief, I am very happy with my new setup and am able to connect to my Alarm Box from the Internet & my mobile phone (I have an Android phone so I need the mobile link, others with iPhone can download a real app to control it). Oh, the service department was great too, I had a couple of questions and they responded within a day. I am usually too lazy to give feedback but this company and their product deserves a 5 star from me.

> 3 dayEasy to install; connectivity is great and the realtime status really helps together with the remote functions for arm/disarm

> 3 dayThis is the greatest thing to add to your Honeywell Vista 20P panel! I have installed several of the EVL-3s and this EVL-4 seems about the same but it is much easier to bring up and program to the panel. It gives you free remote Arm/disarm from your smartphone or computer and it gives text messages as to status, alarm, etc. For only about nine dollars a month they will provide monitoring services (way cheaper than most places), but I just use the texts to my iPhone. Had a break in last Summer and was alerted immediately. The texts let me know they were only in the home for 51 seconds and I called my neighbor within a minute. He was already on it. Nothing taken. Again, great product!

> 3 dayInstall was really simple on my Vista 15p. The instructions were super-simple to follow and walked me through alarm programming really easily. It comes with standoffs to mount it into the alarm box, but my box (which I think is the normal Vista 15p box) does not have the mounting holes shown in the instructions. Thats fine, though, its not like mounting it is hard. I subtracted a star because I was hoping to use this to be able to get phone notifications whenever a door or window is opened. Unfortunately, it looks like the only way to get SMS notifications is when the actual alarm goes off, not just like a chime notification which is what I was hoping for. It says it can send messages for all events but it does not seem to include an open/close as an event. It looks like this functionality may be available with the paid service, but if it exists without it, it does not seem to be working. I can see that once you get this installed, the free features will quickly become too limited and you will want to get the paid service soon. It looks like I can get push notifications that way. After the discount Id get on my homeowners insurance, it comes out to just a few bucks per year so Ill consider it.

> 3 dayI would give this 10 stars if I could. This is the second Envisalink interface Ive purchased and I could not be more pleased. I lost my last one due to a lightning strike after years of reliable service. This is an amazingly simple interface to set up. It was only after I purchased my first one that I realized how many features this product provides. Thank you for designing such a wonderful device and providing the monitoring service as well!

03-04-2025Previously I had Hub6 and was very happy but they are apparently out of business. EyezOn Envisalink set up instructions are very poor. Because of this, I think I ruined the first one they sent. Amazon replaced it and I finally figured out how to set it up yesterday. Now seems to work fine. Hub6 was a much better package and much easier to setup. I am very happy self monitoring and not paying a monthly fee.

> 3 dayI have this hooked up with a Honeywell Vista 20P. I purchased this in order to have it communicate with a Home Assistant installation I was setting up. The web interface is easy to navigate and responsive. This integration works very well with the HA module and I have found no hiccups so far. The only negative, or inconvenience, I had was that there is no option to manually assign a IP address on a different sub net. For my installation I have a different network setup for cameras and home controller that is only accessible from the camera/HA server. As a work around I had to setup a DHCP server to assign it an initial address before I could set the manual final address.
