This sand is great for the price!

Ive had pet hermit crabs for years. This is the first time Ive tried Flukers Sand Substrate and it wont be the last. I replaced the old sand with this substrate. It was moist and soft and my crabs loved it. I checked on them throughout the day and they seemed really content. One burrowed so deep into the sand I could not find it. It has been a few days and Im really impressed by this substrate. It retains moisture and the crabs seem to really like living in it.

Used it for my 10-gallon tank. My son formed an elevated portion where our hermit crabs can practice their hiding skills. So far, so good. Thumbs up!

I’ve use this product for many years in combination with coco fiber. My hermit crabs like to dig in it. I’ve had no problem with it.

I have purchased this product in the past and it was great. It was a dry sand that i was able to wet with purified water for the hermies. This time, all 3 bags have wet and musty smelling sand. Anyone have any ideas as to why?
