Best sand for hermit crabs!! My crab came alive once I put this sand in his tank!! Before with other sands I used he never really moved much. Definitely will be the only sand I will ever use!!

I would not use just this sand for your hermit crabs. But one bag, mix it with an eco soil product. My crabs are nearly four years old and I have been mixing the sand and coconut substrate for that whole time. My crabs seem to thrive in my environment. Also you need the soil substrate to assist in the high humidity that hermit crabs need to survive.

This is the best substrate Ive ever used. Sand comes moist in the bag and holds moistness really week in the terrarium. Using a squirt bottle once a day is all it takes to keep it moist. I love this and will never use anything else.

I love this sand but there was one weird thing. There was a lot of coconut fiber chunks. It does arrive in a wet bag but it is supposed to be like that.

I do not recommend this product because i replaced my sand from petco with this sand my hermits seemed to do fine then my very active crab quit being active and my other crab refuses to come out of his hiding spot and couple days later I noticed my hermit crab that used to be super active COVERED in mites. Now I have to boil and replace all the sand soil and make sure my hermits are okay all because I used this sand.

I have to say, that since I put this sand into my hermit crab tank they have actually seemed more active and HAPPY if thats possible?? HAHA. Im not kidding! Its like they LOVE this sand for one reason or another. I saw the two of my crabs sitting there, facing each other with their little antennas going crazy. Hopefully theyre not stroking out or something. If they are, Ill update this review. but as for right now, Im serious...this stuff seems pretty good.
