Not as white as I thought itd be, and I was a little weirded out it was already at the moist consistency it needed to be. My crab doesnt seem to mind and has been digging around just fine.

Within 20 minutes of replacing the enclosure with this brand of sand our little hermit crab was exploring and digging his way through one end to the other in the middle of the day no less. He is so active and is so happy with this sand!

The sand is good for hermit burrowing and cleaning but doesnt had humidity well at all.

I’ve use this product for many years in combination with coco fiber. My hermit crabs like to dig in it. I’ve had no problem with it.

This is the type of sand that stays damp and is perfect for our hermit crabs. They LOVE burrowing in it and it’s perfect to put the dishes in to bury so everything is level. Their poop causes it to smell a little bit, but I just scoop the edges with a plastic spoon. It retains moisture and I haven’t had to spray the tank at all. It does leave condensation on the inside with the heater, but when I open the top, it goes away.

Im using this for my desert beetles and it works fine for them! Much much cheaper than any other sand you can buy on here. The only thing is if its for an animal that needs to be dry, you need to let the sand dry out for a few days. Since this is sold for hermit crabs, though, its very nice that the sand is pre-moistened. It actually holds water really well, too, so once I get crabs I might use a mixture of this and something else for them.

Small bag of damp sand. Not much else to say. I have bought other types of sand, including reptile (and adding water) and play sand. Crabbies appear to like all of it.

This was my first time incorporating sand into the hermit crabs tank what a difference it made the crabs absolutely love it!! one in particular.. definitely recommend.

The sand was a bit wet in the bag that I got (dont know if it was intended?) Other than that it seems like a nice sand mixture for my crabs and they seem to love digging through it so its pretty good . The sand is mixed like it says.
