Pros: Works great in my smart home of 30+ wifi enabled devices. It is easily controlled via the Cync app or by Alexa. Con: My only advice for the manufacturer... please include an integrated status light for the on/off button! I put a little round sticker on the on/off button to make it easier to see. Otherwise, it really blends in with the rest of the device.

Easy setup and Alexa integration. App works well and is easy to set routines. Will buy more when the price is right.

I bought some C by GE lightbulbs but had problems with my Alexa running them. After I bought the plug and plugged one of my lamps into it everything works fine like it’s supposed to. I highly suggest if you were wanting to use Alexa

I love using these. You will have to download the CYNC app from GE to get everything set up, but once your account is set up through the GE CYNC app, Set up is a breeze! Then you just link through google! I chose these GE ones because theyre American made and easier to use than some of the other suspicious apps other smart plugs will make you download. My appliances are GE so I just stuck with what I loved. I wish they were a little smaller but I never see them because theyre behind furniture. Great purchase, would recommend to anyone!

So far these are great plugs! The app seems to be updated pretty regularly and the Alexa integration has been seamless so far. I find that there is a lot of possibility for customization if you take the time to learn how the app works. I have a few Cync plugs, sensors, and bulbs mixed into my smart home setup and the most tech maintenance I’ve ever had to do is a power cycle when my internet was spotty.

After much internal debate, I ended up buying these because theyre from an established American company. The extra $7 (for the three pack versus a major competitor) be damned. Im usually pretty frugal, so $7 (~15% IIRC) was hard for me to justify for a product that, by reviews, was competitive but not better. Still, I felt good about the purchase. Unfortunately, they are very unreliable compared to the Amazon-branded plug I got for free with something or another. All three of them. At this point, its 50:50 whether they work... and half of the time of the half of the time that they DO work, theyll cycle power but apparently forget to tell Alexa that the job was completed, so she says theyre not responding. Very unrefined experience. They underwent a firmware update, I was hopeful that theyd be fixed.. but no. Still bad. To be honest, I dont even know why Im giving them two stars instead of one. Theyre built to do one thing, and theyre terrible at that thing. The only possible defense that I could propose is that ever since plugging them in, my other-brand light switch that controls my kitchen lights became less reliable too.. Im wondering if theyre fighting for bandwidth, which shouldnt normally be a problem since my network is not crowded, and there are only two other networks that reach my house that arent mine. Plus, these devices are supposed to be smart enough to work around each other. I dont think Im asking too much. Im well past my return window because I wanted to give them a fair shake to work out their issues. I now consider this a loss. Using them is actually less convenient than not using a smart plug at all. I wish I was here to write a glowing review, but Ill be shopping for a different brand next time. Not only is it not worth the extra cost over other well-regarded brands, its not even worth the same cost. Or even a cheaper cost. Maybe theyre working great for other people, but I can only report on my own experience, and its a poor one.

If you Alexa and have lights or appliances plugged in: in hard to reach places or to control the light on and off remotely this is the device for you. Easy to set up and easy to use.

Currently I have three of these running to shut off some strip outlets full of those not needed while gone electronics. Works great to shut down the whole set of adapters and power use both as needed with the button on the plug, using my phone, Alexa or on a programmed schedule. Definitely handy in lowering my electric usage.

When I upgraded my network hardware, I realized my smart plugs were no longer compatible. After weighing the cost of replacing my hardware with a dual-channel setup against new plugs, I decided to give the Cync smart plugs a try. These were very easy to install and Alexa has no problem talking to these. My home was back to normal in about fifteen minutes.
