These work well with the Cync app, easy to set up, but do not work with Alexa well. Mine work about half the time with Alexa. Returning them.

I wasted so much money on Wemo..which are a pain in the ass to connect. These automatically connect. No extra buttons. No finding paper clips...who has paper clips....Anyway worth the price.

These work without installing another app on my phone, Alexa can discover and setup the plug automatically, and after setup, they can be controlled the moment you plug them in. Everything by GE Cync works exceptionally well, they are more reliable than the Amazon brand plugs I own! I highly recommend GE Cync products for you Alexa device.

I needed a smart plug that would work when there was no Internet. I needed a plug that would allow me to power-cycle some Internet gear (such as a modem or a switch) located in a crawlspace. Very likely, the reason I would need to power-cycle some Internet gear would be because that very gear was not working, i.e., no WiFi and no way to control your typical WiFi-only smart plug. Doh. So, this Cync plug automatically switches over to Bluetooth when there is no Internet connection. You dont have to do anything. I can easily switch the plug off and on via Bluetooth using the Cync app on my phone.

This device seemed like such a wonderful thing, however when it disconnected itself from the Cync app and refused to work or re-install, I permanently unplugged it and put in a manual switch and a timer instead. Im tired of things that are made by U.S. companies but are actually made in china. Im also tired of apps that reset themselves (the GE Cync app) whenever youre not connecting to the hub. We like our privacy and do NOT trust anything thats bluetooth connected. We gave it a try and it sucks. Installing this product is a nightmare created in futility. It can have a complete line-of-sight of the device(s) its connecting to and still wont connect. The technical support stinks because it makes you go through all of the troubleshooting steps again, even if you went through them on your own. It assumes customers are idiots. All things that connect to the Echo dot or other Amazon Echo based product should be able to direct connect to the hub without having to create a separate account on a foreign app. When Alexa is able to detect products at the push of a button like its supposed to do, then, maybe, Ill be on board.

Unfortunately I have run out of patience. I had a Cync hub, the app says i can now only use light bulbs and light switches. I was having a lot of trouble keeping the hub connected to the WiFi. Which is why I wanted the no-hub plug. But now I cant use the plug and the hub at the same time!?!?! So, i uninstalled the hub. Now I go to set up my plug. App says to be within 40ft. Thats okay Im within 15 ft. App failed to connect to WiFi. Move within 8ft App connects to WiFi Plug turns off during Adding to your home App fails to add plug to home App tells me to factory reset plug and try again I tried 4 times. It never ever connected. I missed my return window So i decided to try it again Same issue. Contacted support. Get message saying they will reach out to me. No one ever reached out to me. Found chat help within the app. Get message saying someone will reach out to me. Now I have no hub for cync light bulbs because it wont reconnect And no plugs cause the plugs wont connect. This is the most garbage product I have ever failed to use. I shouldve known better, but hey at least it was worth the try, right.... No, no it wasnt.

These are great, easy to setup, and most of all it supports 5G! Highly recommend.

Not quite as easy to install as the Amazon branded plug, but pretty darn easily with the GE app. Only a few extra steps. If you are looking for a more economical plug that is relatively easy to connect to Alexa, this is a good one. Using the advice of Amazon technical support, always get a plug made by the same company as the app as opposed to needing a third-party app.
