It works great to stop the fabric from bleeding. Especially in batiks!

The process one must use to make this product work is unreasonable and causes the fabric to fade during the process. Also destroys some fabric finishes.

This requires 140F water for hand treatment. My water heater, after adjustment, can only hit 130F. My washer can hit it, but the product specifically says if you have a High Efficiency machine you need to hand treat. So basically, I wasted $15.

When excess dye is not removed using Synthrapol, I use Retayne. So far that has always worked.

Have used it for years for pre-treating my quilting fabric. Works great.

I used it for quilting material. I plan to use it to hopefully slow fading of dark colored clothing

Dont quilt without this product. It sets the color in batiks, reds, navy blue, etc. There is almost nothing on the color catchers when this is added to the wash.

Followed the instructions perfectly and this did not work at all!

I use this product whenever I buy new jeans or dark pants. Ive used it on cotton blends as well as 100% cotton. It works fantastically - my kids school pants from last year are still nice looking and not faded at all, even after a year of wear & washes. Ive also used this in my quilting with excellent results. Highly recommended!

I use a lot of dark reds & blue fabric that can bleed. I tried the vinegar and salt methods, and fabric still bled. This product worked! Only one teaspoon per yard of fabric, so the bottle will last a very long time.
