Really works well and only takes a little bit. I was having an awful time with bleeding of the writing on a signature quilt I am making and this stopped it. The permanent marker just kept bleeding and I didnt want to have to get people to redo the blocks they signed and this saved me.

Just a small amount of Retayne will fix dyes in fabric. I use on batiks for quilts, reds and other dark colors. Leaves no residue. Does not effect ironing. Company shipped very quickly.

I use a lot of dark reds & blue fabric that can bleed. I tried the vinegar and salt methods, and fabric still bled. This product worked! Only one teaspoon per yard of fabric, so the bottle will last a very long time.

It works great to stop the fabric from bleeding. Especially in batiks!

Love Love Love this product. I have been using it for over 20 years. I never wash my fabrics before putting them into a quilt. After I have completed the project I wash it with Retayne and Ive never had dyes run. Not even reds! I highly recommend.

This is a must-have for me when washing batik fabric for the first time. I always test for color stability by rinsing with hot water, as Ive found that batiks often bleed. The most likely to bleed are reds/pinks/purples but I test them all. If Retayne doesnt fix the dye then I dont use the fabric. Also, the Amazon price for this product was very good.

This product is really amazing

I first learned of this product in my quilters guild. It is terrific to stop the bleeding when washing new fabric. I also use it when I first wash a purchased article of clothing.

This works well for my ice dying and new knit fabrics. Keeps my fabrics bright for a long time.
