we are about a week into potty training and so far this is my sons preferred potty seat. we also have a little frog potty and a seat that sits on a regular toilet, but I guess this is the one he finds most comfortable. I bought the reusable liner and I definitely recommend it if you plan on using this seat as more than just a travel toilet. Cons: I havent tried using this as a travel option yet. It seems like it would be kind of difficult at first, as it takes a minute to set up, too long for a newly trained child in my opinion. Im not thrilled with it as a seat on a regular toilet. My son kind of sinks into it and the hard plastic leaves red marks. Also, it doesnt work with a potty hook and we only have one small bathroom so I need something that saves space. Overall, if my son likes it then its a winner and I like that it has three functions. btw grocery store plastic bags work well too

I know friends who swore by having this on hand during potty training and with newly potty trained children. However, ours hasnt gotten even one use. The product works great, is small and convenient to have on hand. We just havent found a time to use it and our child has been potty trained for almost one year. I hope I get some use out of it with our second child.

This little potty has been perfect. It folds up really small and fits in our medium-sized diaper bag. We keep it under the car seat for emergencies, and weve taken it several places with us. Unfortunately, parks and other places dont always have bathrooms. Weve been potty training for about a month, and it has been crucial to have a potty on hand at all times. Little ones cant always wait, nor do they give you much warning sometimes! My daughter thinks it is so much fun to go on her little potty. She also likes to unfold the legs to set it up. She really loves it. We bought a couple of packages of the refill bags, but they were pretty pricey. They work fine, but arent really worth the price, so I think Ill try the suggestion from some of the other reviewers and just use a shopping bag with paper towels when we run out. Overall, its sturdy, well-designed, and works great. I definitely recommend it! It doesnt cost much, and youll appreciate the peace of mind.

This is a product that I really WANT to love. Its a great concept, and it has, in fact, proven useful for us. We keep it set up in the back of the SUV for the toddler that always needs to go potty five minutes into any car ride. Its very handy to be able to just pull over and let her climb in the back to pee. However, I do have some issues with the product: 1) Size: The Potette is quite small, and even with my smallish 2-eyar old, I have to position her very carefully and still have some occasional misses. I know the size needs to be small to be carried around. 2) Sturdiness: You have to make sure the legs are snapped in just right before a child can sit on it, or one or both legs will collapse while your child pees. Snapping them in can be difficult at times, especially when youre urgently trying to set it up to prevent an accident! Leaving it set up works fine for us, but on the occasion that we need to stow it away, getting the legs unsnapped and folded has been a pain. Ive had to pull them completely off and then re-snap them into the first hole. This makes it hard to be truly versatile and 2-in-1, at least while your kid is still in the urgent stage where they need the potty quickly. 3) Bags: Again, attaching the bags in a hurry is a bit annoying, but if you dont attach them just right they have a tendency to slip off while the child pees. The pad in the bottom isnt super large, so there still may be a bit of splash. You can use grocery store bags and a paper towel instead of buying expensive refills. Overall, the product is convenient if you leave it set up and use just as a potty, but otherwise the set up can take a little long for a small toddler to wait when they need to go quickly. If youre going to leave it set up anyway, a small one-piece potty is probably a sturdier option. This fits well in a small stroller basket or tote bag for shopping, if you do want to carry it around. I have not used it as a trainer seat, but it seems that it fits well on the toilet and gives the child a clean place to hold. You just then have to deal with folding and unfolding the legs.

We originally bought this to travel out of state with our freshly trained nearly three year old son. On the road he insisted on using the toilet at rest stops and restaurants, etc without this seat. Ewww. When we got to the hotel he did the same. So I figured it was lost money - oh well - well use it for the next one. After all, it stores neatly and compactly. It even came with a plastic drawstring bag. When we returned home he then insisted he use it for our home toilet. So this ended up replacing the bulky one had there originally. I like that its so small I can either hide it behind the toilet or put it in the storage bag when we have guests. The little guy likes it because it fits both ways and he doesnt have to figure out how what side to face forward on the toilet. Its given him independence...and in a house with 4 other little people this is definitely a bonus

Wonderful product. Wish I had invented these. They work great and are so compact and easy to store. We have one in each car. We use ours mostly on camping trips. But, theyve also come in handy when we are on the road and one of the kids is screaming I have to go potty now. We dont have to search for a rest stop. We can just pull over in a safe spot and let them use the Potette. Both my kids, ages 4 years (37 pounds) and 7 years (54 pounds) can use this comfortably. I buy the companys liners because they fit well and dont leak. But, I know of some folks who use grocery bags, often doubling up to prevent leaks. Highly recommend!

I got this for my 2 year old who wed just potty trained. I didnt want to get caught short in the car away from the bathroom, but I also didnt want a great big potty in the trunk of the car. This is great, it folds small. To use it as a travel potty, you click the legs, add the bag and away they pee (you can buy special bags but a diaper bag with a bit of paper towel in the bottom would work as well.) I read some reviews that it collapses when the kids are on it, but if you click the legs in properly, it does not. To use on the toilet just extend the legs like the wings on a airplane, pop it on the seat and them on top. It folds small enough for the diaper bag too!

My daughter is on the petite side and she will not go potty on a public potty because she feels like she is going to fall in. However, she has no trouble going when we use the Potette Plus! We have taken it with us on every outing and on visits to the grandparents houses! We havent used it as a stand-alone but its been amazing helping her go on big potties away from home! Highly recommend it!! EDIT: We have been using this thing for nearly six months now and it has not once failed to fit a potty that weve put it on. And today was the first time I have had to use it as a stand-alone when the park restrooms were locked (UGH!!) and I had to rush to get it set up in the trunk of the SUV. It took me all of 20 seconds to set it up with some plastic grocery bags into a stand-alone potty and get my daughter on it. Thankful for the option that this can work with a toilet or without. Cant say enough good things about this!!

This is an ingenious little travel potty that can be converted from a freestanding potty, to a seat for a regular toilet. It is a little tricky to get the legs to flip up or down, but once you get it, it isnt hard. As a potty seat on a toilet, it doesnt work very well because it slips around too much for the child to feel secure. It is a great size for travel, though, because its nice and small. The travel bag is just a heavy duty plastic drawstring bag, though. It is hard to get the liners to stay in place, and they dont seem very absorbent for large amounts of urine. The liners are sold separately, but you could probably take a regular plastic shopping bag, put some absorbent material in it and use that instead.

PLEASE make packaging easier to open. I cut my thumb pretty bad trying to open. Great product other than that issue, easy to use & clean.
