A small potty for kids, very easy to throw in a bag and take with you. My kids have been using it for 2 years now. it is small so just make sure your kids know to sit over the hole, we had one accident early on with a kid who sat too far back. I bought the reusuable liner for it and used it alot when the kids used it as a stand alone potty. Now they use it over the regular toilet. I would recommend for smaller kids (mine still use it at 5 and 7 but they are smaller framed). Great for traveling. helps kids not be afraid of the big toilet and they can hold on to the handles rather than put their hands on a dirty toilet seat.

I got this when we first started using the potty on a regular basis because my daughter was still a little scared of the big potty. It is great because it easily fits in a diaper bag and is easy to take on the go. It saved the day on a trip to the park this spring when the bathroom facilities were not open yet and we had a I have to go now! moment - I set this up using one of bags that was included and was able to just remove it once she was done, tie it up and throw it away - accident avoided! As other reviewers have mentioned, you can use plastic grocery sacks lined with an absorbent paper towel or something similar so I wouldnt recommend buying the special bags.

If you have ever told your kids several times to use the bathroom before you leave the house and then as soon as you start your car journey, they need to pee badly!! Well, this is for you!!! You dont have to wait until you find a bathroom (and lets face it, public bathrooms you find on the side of the road are not the best!) No danger of Hep C with this little bad boy! Just pull off where it is safe to do so, grab the potty (if you are smart and prepared, you will have the bag in it already) and plonk your kid on top of it! Just beware that if you skimp and use general trash bags, instead of paying through the nose for the bags with pads in them.... Make sure they dont have holes in. Esp if using in the trunk or back seat of your car! This can make other car guests uncomfortable!

After my two-year-old sons first successful poop at the park yesterday, this potty is my new best friend. Weve been casually potty learning for the last few weeks (child-led, and going surprisingly well), but I havent been super excited about him wearing underwear on all our outings. We live in a mostly urban area, where we walk a lot and public parks dont have restrooms anywhere nearby. Many stores and restaurants also dont have public restrooms. But I figured I better just take the plunge, and why not just bring a potty along with me? This thing has been a lifesaver. I let my son pick the color, so he was excited when it showed up on our doorstep. For the first few days, he even wanted to use it at home instead of using his toddler froggy potty. He previously had no interest in using the regular toilet (the seat is just so big!), but this has helped him convert to it at home and in public restrooms. I now keep the travel potty in my stroller, so we can quickly whip it out at the park or on a walk. Ive used plastic grocery bags and have had no problems. If youre one of the users who feels the potty is unsteady when its on the ground, make sure youve snapped the legs firmly into place. It took me a minute to figure this out, but once they were securely snapped the potty was as sturdy as it needs to be.

This is THE BEST purchase I have made in regards to potty training! My son was 20 months old when I purchased it and still loves it 2 months later, calling it his lady bug potty, because thats what he thought it was when he first saw it! I have not used the liners yet, but here are the ways I have used it and the features I liked: Works well in a public restroom. It does sit back towards the middle of the seat, so his ankles do touch the front of the seat unless I hold them up. It still is much more sanitary than just a paper liner or trying to hold him over the seat. It works well outside! I know I have a boy, but he does not yet have any concept of standing to void. I can set this outside towards the edge of the yard and it makes potty breaks during outside play a breeze! (We live in a very wooded area). Is great for when we are at grandparents--since this stores easily in his diaper bag, we dont have to try to always remember his potty seat from home. I thought the small pee guard would be a problem; however it has not been at all. I hold my sons knees together and he has never made a fountain over the top. Now he even holds his legs together on his own. My only annoyance is, when snapping the legs out of the sitting position, unless you do it very carefully, they snap out completely. It took a couple of tries to get it right...

its itty bitty. Im really grateful for this product. I keep it in the trunk of my car. I dont use it much, but Im so glad I have it when I need it. My kids are now 6.5 and almost 4 yo. They are definitely too big to use it, and yet, in a pinch, they make it work. Ive had it for a long time now... At least a few years, if not longer.

We love this Potette Plus so much that we have two of them - one for the diaper bag and one for my husbands car. First of all, be sure that you buy the Potette PLUS, not just the plain Potette. The difference is, the Potette PLUS can also sit over a normal toilet, thereby creating a safe, clean potty seat on a public toilet. The regular Potette doesnt open up all the way to do this. We use this whenever were out shopping, visiting friends or relatives, or hiking. We rarely use the liners. We use it mostly as a travel potty seat to go over toilets, and when we are out hiking. We do not use the liners when were out hiking unless my daughter needs to make a BM. We just let the pee soak into the ground because were in the middle of the woods anyway. I no longer dread hearing the words, Mommy, I need to use the potty! from the back seat of the car. It makes life so much easier!!

I purchased this for my son after getting tired of lugging around his stand alone potty (fisher price frog potty the one with the blue inside which I highly recommend for boys!) every time we left the house. This little thing is great so far we have used it as a stand alone potty and on a regular toilet in the back of the SUV and as a seat reducer and my son has had no problems using it or any problems with pee going over the guard. I love that this folds up compact enough to fit in the backpack! Also I wasnt too fond of the idea of disposal-able bags so I found the Potette Plus Reusable Washable Liner (on ebay for 13.00) which we use as a standalone and just dump and wipe, which we are use to doing anyways, this just takes up way less space! Overall great product would highly recommend to anyone who is potty training their little one! Wish I would have found this along time ago! :-)

Once my son was potty trained in the house and we started to go on outings without pull-ups, I knew we were going to need to have an easy-access potty in the car I actually traveled with the bijorn potty a few times (not a great idea.) One day I saw a mom friend pull out a Potette for her daughter during a stroller workout at the park. It was so compact and easy, I knew I had to get one. So far it hasnt failed me (except the first time I used it without reading the instructions first and didnt click the legs in place and it collapsed as soon as my son sat on it. Whoops...user error...) Weve used this for long road trips, birthday parties hosted at parks where the bathrooms were far away or just plain filthy dirty, going on a hike, and at the beach. It lives in our car, tucked in its baggy, and behind a box of Kleenex. I seriously dont know why anyone with young children wouldnt have one of these! ***Seems like a lot of the negative reviews are from those who failed to lock the legs into the seat. This takes a little finesse: You need quite a bit of pressure to pop the legs in, and just the right amount of pressure to unlock and fold back in. If you pull too hard, the legs just come detached. Best advice is to practice set-up and take-down a few times before needing to use it.***

My son just turned three (also has been in 3T pants for six or so months and transitioning from 4T to 5T shirts) and this does take some adjusting to be sure he doesnt pee out the front of it. That being said, it has been a big help when using public restrooms. I still lay toilet paper down on the seat before I place the potty seat over top just because it makes me feel better. But I simply place my son on the seat and he aims as best he can by leaning forward, etc. He has yet to have a BM on it, so I do anticipate some maneuverability issues there. (We also havent had to use it as a free standing potty yet. It is a pretty low seat, so well see how that goes too. Ill update as we get further along.) As short of a period of time as weve had it, Im thrilled with the ease of acceptance of the seat and its really great to have the base/legs of the potty seat to act as handles. I also am so pleased that it fits into the diaper bag (inside its own bag, of course). It helps to keep in mind that pee is sterile, so I just rinse it in the sink and toss it into the bag until I can wash it at home. Id consider using it at home too, but am certain that wed forget it before leaving. EDIT: We finally used as it a free-standing seat today and it held up well to his 33 pounds. No collasping (thanks to the careful instructions in other reviews to ensure it snaps in before putting my son on it) and it went without incident. I just had him lean forwards a bit to ensure the stream went down instread of out.
