07-04-2025When I first got this, I was beyond happy. After using it for a few weeks, I am quite disappointed. First for the toilet topper part: At first, I didnt realize how flimsy it actually was. After using it a handful of times, I noticed it dipped inward quite a bit when my son was on it (hes 25 lbs). I also began to notice that it slid and/or bent on most toilet seats. The last straw happened when my son barely shifted on it the other day and it flew off the toilet. My son landed right in my arms, thankfully. This thing slides so easily and is so flimsy that the child cant really move at all while on it. Needless to say, we wont be using it anymore. As for the potty chair feature: It might work fine as an emergency potty to keep in the car, however, my son will sit on it but has never actually gone in it. The child has to sit on the plastic bag which is weird feeling to them/distracting. I guess Ill keep in it my car and hopefully he will go on it if we have a true potty emergency and no other options. UPDATE: I bought the Potette reusable liner and my son loves this potty chair with that attached! We use the potty chair feature whenever we are on the go now. Its even sturdy enough to sit on the seat of our sedan which is great in the winter. Furthermore: I tried this as a toilet topper again (hesitantly) with the reusable liner attached. The liner actually makes it feel a bit more sturdy/comfortable and it keeps it in place better on the toilet. YAY!! And it still folds up and fits in the bag with the reusable liner attached. I still love how compact and portable it is. The reusable liner saved the Potette for us!!

> 3 dayIf you have a potty-training toddler, you need this! It has saved us on numerous occasions. Yes, it is a little annoying and awkward to carry and it does take up most of your diaper bag, but its dual purpose is ingenious and you will be so happy that you have it in your bag the first time you avoid almost having an accident. Unfold the flaps, position them straight out (it will click) and youve got a just-my-size toddler potty seat that you can put on top of any regular toilet. Just like the small seat you probably have at home, only maybe a little smaller and less cushy. Using the same seat on top of a different toilet seems to be very reassuring for my daughter and she is now fine going even in strange public bathrooms. And I like knowing that shes not touching the icky public toilet seat. Or you can fold the flaps all the way around, put in a bag (either the ones that they sell especially for this potty, or a regular cheapo plastic grocery bag with a few paper towels in it) and it becomes a little stand-alone potty. This is great if you are at the playground or somewhere where there are no toilets to put the small seat on, or if you are in the car and theres suddenly an emergency. Probably better for the back of an SUV but it even works on the floor of a Toyota Camry (speaking from personal experience). Yes, it is a bit gross to have to throw away the bag of pee but much less disgusting than cleaning wet pants, socks and car seat. This potty is not large -- it is definitely designed for a toddler and probably and average-to small- sized one at that. If you have a big kid, you might want to try out someone elses (is that totally gross?!) or at least take a look at it at a store before purchasing. I have a skinny mini so the size is no problem for us and I like that it is as small as possible because it does fit my diaper bag. Im hoping shell be fully trained soon so I wont be carrying it forever and shell likely still be pretty young and tiny, but I could see keeping it in the car for emergencies when she is older. A mom that I know of a five and a nine-year-old told me she still has one (not sure if is this exact one or a different brand) in her trunk just in case. I did a lot of research on potty seats and didnt see any other products that combine the two functions in such a small package. I would definitely buy this again (although is seems like it will probably hold up through multiple potty-trainers, so I will likely not have to) and have recommended it to all of my potty-training friends.

> 3 dayAn absolute must for potty training. Very easy to travel with, no clean up (because of the bags), easy to set up and put away, total winner. I whip this out whenever my son needs to go potty while we are out. Since my son is not able to use a big potty yet, I use this instead of public restrooms and public restrooms are really just gross for a little, grabby, germ attracting child. It comes with a couple of bags, but replacement bags are easy to find at Toys R Us, or at least at my local one. I read reviews that kids have had their fingers caught or nearly caught in the space/locking mechanism between the legs and seat. When my potette is in the locked position, it cannot move, or clamp down, or pinch. I am not sure if those people got defective ones or if maybe they were not in the fully locked position. I love it, I have met many mothers who own and love theirs too. I would absolutely recommend it for any potty training toddler

Greater than one weekIve been using this portable potty now for a month and love it. Love the fact that its portable which means my son doesnt have to come in contact with public toilets, for no bathroom situations you can prop it up, out it in your truck trunk or the ground and setup your baggies then have him do his duty, and also if youre out of bags, it works perfect as a secure seat for the guy on the dirt or grass. With a newbie potty trained toddler, them telling you they have to potty means now! All my mommy friends own one in different colors. The only one drawback is how hard it can be to put it away because you have to unsnap the legs carefully or it will pop off. With many reviewers saying, you have to snap the legs in to be secure before they sit, then snap them out to fold it back to its small size. I havent had to use this on the seat yet. (Thats the minus one star) I bought compostable baggies from costco and just line them with either napkin I pack with the potty or from the bathrooms. Fits perfectly and its biodegradable. Though this comes with a thick plastic bag carrier, it ripped on me, so Im still looking for a perfect bag I can carry the potty, bags, wipes, sanitizer, and napkins in. So if you have suggestions to share, please comment. One of the best used baby items Ive used!

> 3 dayThis is great for travel. so far I have not used it on a public restroom. we have a CUV so when my soon has to go, I just pop the trunk and put the bag over this potty so my son can go. This came with I think 2 or 3 bags with the little paper towel in it. Major convenient. Per the advice of other reviewers, when I ran out of bags, I used grocery store bags and kept a roll of paper towels in the trunk. I place the paper towels in the bag and it works just the same. It is a little small. We first tried it out on our toilet at home and it is a little small but definitely convenient for on the go.

> 3 dayits itty bitty. Im really grateful for this product. I keep it in the trunk of my car. I dont use it much, but Im so glad I have it when I need it. My kids are now 6.5 and almost 4 yo. They are definitely too big to use it, and yet, in a pinch, they make it work. Ive had it for a long time now... At least a few years, if not longer.

> 3 dayI didnt really buy this as a travel potty, although I did buy some of the bag refills so I can take this to the park for emergencies. I bought this to use on public restroom toilets. Does fit in my small diaper bag, but is a tight fit with diapers inside (have a younger child still in diapers). Would fit easily if I didnt have to carry diapers for the other little one. Better to carry in medium or large diaper bag. Does come in its own plastic carry bag if you dont want to put in a diaper bag. So far it has fit fine on all public toilets weve used. I love the fact that my toddler can now hold onto the feet of this potty chair instead of the sides of the public toilet. Being that it is made for travel and to be compact it is small in the fact that if you have a little boy, you need to teach him to keep his legs together when sitting on this on a public toilet (if hes not peeing standing up yet). Overall, I like having this for sanitary purposes and for park emergencies.

> 3 dayI purchased this for my son after getting tired of lugging around his stand alone potty (fisher price frog potty the one with the blue inside which I highly recommend for boys!) every time we left the house. This little thing is great so far we have used it as a stand alone potty and on a regular toilet in the back of the SUV and as a seat reducer and my son has had no problems using it or any problems with pee going over the guard. I love that this folds up compact enough to fit in the backpack! Also I wasnt too fond of the idea of disposal-able bags so I found the Potette Plus Reusable Washable Liner (on ebay for 13.00) which we use as a standalone and just dump and wipe, which we are use to doing anyways, this just takes up way less space! Overall great product would highly recommend to anyone who is potty training their little one! Wish I would have found this along time ago! :-)

Greater than one weekTrying to potty train twin toddler girls, Ill take any help I can get. And this travel training seat has been JUST what Ive been looking for! Nothing is more frustrating than feeling tethered to your house because your just-starting-to-get-this-potty-thing down toddler is terrified of big people potties. Multiplied by two. This seat has been just the ticket. It is small - easily stored in a small diaper bag or even a large-ish purse. It fits easily on a large toilet seat without the risk of collapse - which Ive found to be a problem with some of the other collapsible portable seats. But maybe the BEST thing about this seat is that it gives you options - are you in a public restroom? We got ya covered. Are you out on a road with no restroom in sight? Same seat - still works! Do you have one child who wants to sit up on the big potty? Yup, I got that for ya. Do you have another child who is scared of the big potty and wants her little potty? Bam - here ya go! The seat can be used on a large toilet, provides safe and clean places for little ones to put their hands while using it. The seat can also be set up as a stand-alone potty chair - use it in the car, on the floor, anywhere! It comes with liners that can be used with it - or Ive even used it with just a regular plastic grocery bag and a pull up put in the bottom for absorption. This seat also comes in a variety of colors and is very, very affordable. I am so happy with this product, I could bust! And I bet you will be too!

> 3 dayAwesome product. I travel a fair amount and didnt want to delay or jeopardize potty training my toddler because of my fear of getting stuck somewhere without a toilet. I used this mostly on top of public toilets for the first few months - and it was GREAT for that. It reduced the anxiety of my little one trying to go in strange places, especially when he had to sit for a while to, ahem, produce. We used it on airplane toilets, you name it. Then one day we were about to get on a subway train in NYC and he announced that he had to go pee... I pulled out the Potette, had it set up in seconds, and he was able to sit and pee in comfort (if not privacy!). You really do have to push the legs hard to snap them into place so it is sturdy - but if you do that, it is strong enough to hold my 35lb little guy without a problem. I also love that this is super small, lightweight, and easy to carry around. Cant say enough good things.
