> 24 hourI have an older special needs canary that insists upon living on the bottom of the cage so a warm perch does nothing for him. I put this in last week and find him enjoying the heat! I feel much better knowing he is getting the warmth his old body needs and making him a little more comfortable.

> 24 hourMy aged conure recently lost her budgie buddy that she wa used to sleeping with, and we wanted to find something comforting for her at night. This heater was easily installed, has no chewable parts within reach of the cage, and maintains a warm-to-the-touch but never intense heat. My conure accepted it within an hour or two, and, while I have t seen her actually snuggle up to it, she sleeps almost touching it. It’s good to know she isn’t chilly at night!

> 24 hourThis is a great product, we tested to make sure it heated properly and was nice. The problem for us was the cord and connector are fat and would not fit through the bars in my birds cage. So sadly we returned for a different product.

> 24 hourOur female lovebird occasionally gets too rough with her male mate, so we must put them in separate cages when they are unsupervised. We purchased two of these heaters to keep the birds comfortable while they are separated. We (and the birds) are very happy with this purchase. I positioned the heater against their tents, as in the photo. (K&H recommends placing it where the birds can struggle up directly to the heater, but this location works OK for our birds.) I measured the temperature at various locations using a somewhat-calibrated electronic meat thermometer: Ambient (room): 72°F; Tent surface near heater: 82°F; Surface of heater: 93°F. As others have mentioned, the low-voltage line is somewhat exposed at the point it enters the heater; care should be taken to prevent large birds from chewing through the insulation. Other than that, the product is solid and well-made. Definitely recommended.

> 24 hourMy cockatiel loves to press her chest into the heater at night and snuggle into it in her favorite hidey hole. Keeps her warm, but never gets too hot. The wires are also nicely insulated to prevent her from chewing them or from the heater being a fire hazard.

> 24 hourI think both the K&H Heated Perches and these Snuggle Pads are wonderful and I can`t recommend them enough. I created a warm corner for my White Bellied Caique with a heated perch and two snuggle pads. She loves that corner and that`s where she sleeps and I get great piece of mind knowing that she is nice and warm. These are cheap insurance considering what an Avian Vet charges to treat a sick bird.

> 24 hourWe have 2 budgies. We keep them in my home office which gets a bit cold in the winter. I worried about them, so I turned to Amazon to find a solution. This heater was it. I attached the heater easily. But note that if you have 1/4 bars on your cage, you will probably have to bend the bars to make it fit. Not a big deal. It took our birds 1 day to figure out how the heater worked. Now they move to it whenever they are cold. Id buy it again.

> 24 hourMy little green cheek conure doesnt seem to understand that this is warm--even after I got him to sit next to it he doesnt go back to it (or maybe Im just not seeing it). That being said, once I placed it right next to the seagrass hut he sleeps on top of he started sleeping in an extra 2 hours every morning! Hes always snuggled up next to it while he sleeps (I cant uncover his cage to get enough light for a pic without waking him so no pics yet unfortunately.) Even before then I was impressed with the packaging and quality of this and was reassured that it wasnt a safety risk. Someone said this wasnt warm enough but its not *supposed* to be hot, thatd be dangerous. Its about the warmth of a bird buddy snuggling next to them while they sleep. If my hands are cold and I place them up against it it feels really nice and the rest of the time it just feels slightly warm. I would recommend this to anyone with a bird, especially if you just have one, so they can still experience the nighttime cuddles were not able to provide safely. :) And if your bird gets stressed out easily, it might help them feel a little more comfortable and safe.
