> 3 dayFor the first delivery received, the Digital Moisture Meter kept shorting out. I returned the items and received replacement (for all three items). For the second delivery, the Non-Contact Voltage Tester did not work. The GFCI Outlet Tester was fine. At least two of the three work now, so Ill hold on to them. I would recommend going with something of higher quality. If it happened to me with both shipments, theres no doubt that this is happening to a lot of people who purchased these items.

> 3 dayInitially it read 0.0% on all drywall. With several battery changes it started working and actually reading pretty accurately. It worked fine for a stretch and is now reading 0.0% again on all drywall. Have changed the battery multiple times hoping to bring it back with no luck. Because of this I would not recommend this product.

> 3 dayThe first one of these I got didnt work at all. It would just make a clicking noise with a black screen. The replacement works fine, but is very inaccurate for measuring hardwood. I had some water damage to my 3/4 oak bathroom floor so i bought one to measure moisture as I dried it out. I had a floor repair guy out who had a professional model moisture meter so I compared the readings. The Klein ET140 would sometimes be within a couple percentage points but other times would be off by as much as 10%. I really wanted to like this device, but the accuracy is so poor that its not very useful.

> 3 dayThis unit helped me check several rooms in a new construction build for moisture. It took less than 15 minutes to do 4 rooms and the unit confirmed high moisture levels in one area I had suspected of water damage. Nice unit.

> 3 dayAfter a contractor poorly installed windows causing water damage, I bought this to check the rest of my home. I found two more areas that didnt show any visible water intrusion. Both new areas had dripping wet insulation. Who knows how long they would have continued to get wet if I hadnt made this $40 purchase. Now with every rain storm I run this along my windows frames. Super easy to use and read. Its accurate as it matched the waste restorations $1200 meter.

> 3 dayIt works well and fast. The display is bright and very readable. The reading seems very reproducible. I am not able to check its absolute accuracy, but a relative comparison with dry area is usually sufficient. The audio beep and bright bar graph both make it easy to quickly determine if there is a problem. I was able to see the reading go down steadily over days as the wood dried out. It feels well made and is easy to use. The one downside is that it takes a screw drive to change the battery, which is inconvenient when I remove the battery for storage.

> 3 dayThey made a very easy to use, reliable moisture meter. I am a hobby wood worker that needs to know moister content of varying thickness of hardwood and softwood and this worked great. The user interface is great. This is recommended over the “pin” type meters because it reads deeper and doesn’t make holes in the wood. Just be sure when using thinner boards to not stack them on other boards or materials as this can throw the reading off.

Greater than one weekWater intruded from outside underneath our wood flooring causing some of the flooring to buckle. I needed a device to determine the scope of the water problem. I used a pin-type device to begin with, but its usefullness was limited for my situation as the only way to measure dampness was to insert pins between boards. After reading reviews, I ordered the Klein ET140 which easily found the scope of the problem. I did not need the exact moisture content, but rather the difference in dry boards and damper ones. Zero stars for the included no-name battery which would turn meter off after one minute. Installed name-brand battery; stayed on with no problem. Klein should just not include a cheap battery as I thought the unit was defective before installing a good battery.
