It works great! I thought I need 2 though after looking on line before buying. The first page of the manual says you just need 1 if you already have Verizon. I thought that was the case but didnt want to be SOL. The 2nd was beneficial though. I was able to set up a 2nd wifi router in a dead zone of the house. My ethernet speeds are great still!

I needed this to get ethernet to a metal outbuilding I have that houses my home gym. My peloton kept having wifi issues, so I needed a wired solution. I already had ~100ft coax connection that hooked up to my main cable box outside via a tap. I removed that tap and disconnected the external cable signal (I have fiber internet and streaming tv). I then connected the feed from my master closet box to the 100ft external coax via a coax coupler. I dont know the length of the internal coax cable but I suspect its ~50ft. So 150ft of coax with a coupler in the middle. Then one of these boxes on each end. I was hoping to get 100-200mbps, but based on my speed test attached, Im seeing at least 820mbps. It might be able to deliver the full 1gbps as my internet connection speed can vary 750-1000mbps. I suspect people having connection speed issues are dealing with reduced signal quality (splitters or long runs or both), or interference while running other services over the same cables (cable, internet/etc). These can hit the full advertised speed if you have ideal conditions. Long story short, this is awesome as I now have my full gigabit internet connection available in my out building. Currently Im just using my peloton (only 100mbps), but this will also allow me to add additional devices later if need be. I just hooked it up, so I dont know about reliability, but Ill try and update if I hit anything in the future.

I was wiring my whole house with gigabit ethernet, but there was no easy way to run the ethernet cable to the pool house. The builder had run a coax cable out there. With these MOCA adapters, I simply attached one unit to the coax in the pool house, and put the other unit in the main house attic where the coax line came in. I ran an ethernet drop to the unit in the attic, and voila, gigabit ethernet to the pool house. They do take AC power so I had to put the attic unit near the furnace where there was an AC outlet.

Worked like a charm. Very easy setup. Saved me a bunch of work pulling cat cable throughout my house.

It will not work with Comcast. Tried everything and even had the rep on the phone try to make it work for almost 2 hours. We were both curious if it was human error or just incompatible. As soon as the filters are installed and the MoCA is enabled via the gateway; all the WiFi and internet went down. Tried a few times and it just kept occurring. tested it on my friends Fios set up and it worked amazingly.

Switched from powerline ethernet adaptors and noticed a difference in speed and reliability in signal.

I purchased 4 of these for various rooms in my house, now the kids can game like pros which is probably why they never help around the house. Previously had been using wifi and powerline network adapters but these MoCA adapters are truly worth buying. My house has coax in every room and this makes use of them very, very well. I created my network in a slightly different way than prescribed but it works great. I didnt use a filter and I believe there should be no possibility of leaked signal to the cable network because I didnt connect the MoCA adapters to the cable internet side network. (see the pic)

At first I couldn’t get this to work but the Motorola team helped me several days (when I had the time to work on it) until it was fixed. I almost put 4 stars due to it not being as easy to install as the directions said. Pay very close attention to this part. On your incoming line from outside, if the coaxial splitter is not 1200mhz or higher, it will not work. Took us a while to figure out that was one of the reasons. I had to go out and buy a 1.5Ghz splitter and that helped a lot. This is not at fault to the device itself. Most cable companies install a basic one and I have 1Gig internet service and that’s what it came with. If you have any issues, trust me, you can call or email the Motorola team and they will take as long as you need to get it fixed. Their customer service alone deserves the 5 stars and now that we got this thing working it deserves more than 5 stars.
