> 24 hourThis is a review for the Reolink RLK16-810B8-A. (The RLK8-810B6-A system is the same, except only 6 cameras and a smaller hard drive.) The 4K cameras included are the RLC-810A which are PoE IP cameras. All I can say is that the video quality is good, but not great or outstanding. The video and picture resolution seems more like 2k cameras. When hooked to a professional 4K computer monitor or a nice 4k TV, the picture is definitely not 4K. When you view a different source such as a 4K YouTube video you will see what I am talking about. The clarity and crispness of a true 4K signal is very evident. Reolink has lost the ball with this one. Some background...As you probably know, a 4K camera allows you to take videos with a resolution of 3840 on 2160 pixels. It brings high-definition results, making the videos high-quality and realistic. When watching 4K video, you can distinguish the smallest details, which Full HD cameras often fail to provide. 4K is a video specification that literally just means 4,000. It gets its name from the approximately 4,000 pixels of width of the footage. Even the best quality, 1080p HD footage is only 1920 pixels across. 4K is significantly more detailed, since it has twice as many pixels horizontally, and four times as many pixels in total. Also, something to be aware of. The 8 camera 16 channel system has a larger 3TB hard drive and a fan in the NVR. The smaller footprint of the 6 camera 8 channel system has a 2Tb hard drive and no fan in the NVR. Conclusion: I decided to keep this system as alternatives were sparse. Picture quality is just….okay. NVR and App are sometimes buggy. Last bug was when zooming, the picture went blank. This happened when using the App and the Windows software. I did not try the direct connection from the NVR yet.

> 24 hourInitial setup was easy, cameras installed and worked normally. After two weeks, the NVR no longer displays video although each camera connection shows activity on the back of the NVR and the ethernet connection shows activity as well. Support responds after a couple of days to email, but due to their location (Asia) by the time stamp on their emails when they get around to calling its nighttime here on the west coast. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS MANUFACTURER!
