> 3 dayFirst let me start off by saying that I am not being paid by anyone for this review. Im just an artist from the Nashville area and believe that, if you find a good deal you should share the info. I needed a compressor for airbrushing and considered ALL the options. Like many folks, noise/ volume was an issue. I liked the design of a smaller sized airbrush style compressor, combined with an air tank. I considered other manufacturers but, again, as with many folks, price was an issue as well. Anyway, after weighing all the options, and I do mean ALL. I decided to go with the Senco PC1010 and I couldnt be happier with my choice. This little unit runs and performs like a champ! The first time I turned it on in our apartment, I had it sitting on my workbench and my wife and I were able to carry on a conversation in normal speaking voice and we were both sitting less than two feet away from the compressor. Im telling you, if youre looking for a small, quiet compressor and dont want to spend big money, I personally do not think you could do ANY better than this little Senco. I did make one modification to mine. I replaced the regulator with one that has a built in moisture trap. Cheers!

> 3 dayBought it to use as an airbrush compressor. Works perfect. I have had no problems whatsoever. Runs quiet as advertised. In fact, runs as quiet as the black compressor on the shelf above it in the picture. No cons on this end.

Greater than one weekI bought this air compressor to fill 29 inch tubeless mountain bike tires. It does the job - just. A sufficient blast of air is needed to seat the tires and this compressor is just able to do the task. I will likely also use the blower to dry off wet chain rings - but I doubt I will use it for much more. Dont expect a large reservoir of air! That being said, it is very light, well built and I do like the compact design. I looked at comparably sized compressors from Craftsman, Porter Cable and Campbell Hausfeld. This unit is much smaller and lighter. On the down side, it comes with no attachments. I would certainly buy it again.

> 3 dayVery quiet for an air compressor. I have a 6.25HP compressor for big jobs and most air tools. It is way too loud, large, heavy and awkward for use on finishing jobs, and can be a PIA for little stuff, like inflating bike tires (careful, it will blow them right off the rims). For years I used a hand pump for bikes and yard tools. Recently doing a lot of renovation on our 1913 built house I have been using my finish nailer and rigging in hoses across the yard, through the door and across the house was annoying to say the least. The last thing I wanted was a screaming monster further damaging what hearing I have left and scaring the pugs. This unit with a little self coil hose follows me room to room, runs my Senco finish mailer perfectly with a regulator built in. I will revise my review if it fails later, but so far this is the best small compressor I have seen run first hand.

> 3 dayFirst off, let me tell you that I have five compressors and a couple of inflators now and have used many in over thirty years of contracting. This thing is great. After using my buddys I ordered one the next day. This does not take the place of my twin tank Empire unit for framing or heavier trim work, this will not take the place of a shop compressor or job-site unit. However - for a quick trim or repair job with a pinner, narrow crown stapler and even up to my 15ga finish nailer this is just fine. What a joy to carry this instead of a 50-60 pound unit in and out of small jobs. Quiet, quick, light and seems well built. The regulator was sticking for a while but that cleared up and I cracked the gauge glass getting it in and out of the truck so often. Still just keeps on pumping.

> 3 dayIm a general contractor specializing in finish carpentry and cabinetry. I love this compressor. In fact, I just purchased my third. I suppose I use it harder than it should be used, so Ive burned through a couple of them. But thats over a nine year period. So no. It wont last forever if you use it hard, but it will do the job for several years. And at the price it sells for, its no big deal replacing a dead one. It easily runs a finish nailer or a brad nailer. The turnover time is only okay, and depending on the nail gun I use, I can only get so many shots off before it needs to refill. With a brad nailer I can usually keep shooting while it refills. But look. There is a tradeoff with this puppy. Its light. Really light. Compared to my Emglo, the compressor I used to lug around, its like night and day. (I keep the Emglo in my shop now, most of the time.) Its also quiet. It just hums, really. It also doesnt pull the amps that my Emglo pulls, so I can use it on a long extension cord if I need to. I just have nothing bad to say about this little Senco. There is one important thing to remember, however. Empty the tank when you are finished using it. The only troubles I have had with this compressor have been caused by rust from the tank. So let out the air and the water that condensates on the inside of the tank after each use. Do that and this compressor should last you for years.

08-04-2025Senco PC1010 Oilless Compressor: Purchased for finish work. 2nd unit, first lasted 12 yrs. until capacitor failed. Have ordered a replacement capacitor. While waiting I purchased a new, same model (PC1010). Unit arrived timely (2 days-Prime) but output regulator would only adjust to roughly 86 psi. on the high end and jumped from high to low of 15 psi with no in between readings. Returned for a replacement, arriving today. Will update when I test the new unit. New unit arrived on schedule and works perfectly. Best small, light weight, low db compressor @$120 for finish carpentry work. I highly recommend the PC1010 unit mfg’ed Nov. 2019 over the PC1010N($144).

Greater than one weekAs a woodworker, I have owned all the popular small compressors, all of them. This is the first one that makes me happy. It is compact, lightweight, and quiet. It pumps out the air without effort and runs all my guns from 15 gauge and smaller. Don’t use this for framing, but everything else is plenty of capacity. I looked this over and the fit and finish is first rate. I would highly recommend it.

> 3 dayThe Senco pc1010 1/2 hp 1 gallon mini air compressor is just that, mini. So if youre looking for compressor to work all day, look somewhere else. This is light duty compressor that will take care of something like putting trim around a door frame. It is not an all day compressor because even attatching a tool will make this compressor start to cycle (ony 1 gallon means you lose a lot of air quickly.) If you have a lot of work to do that requires a compressor, stick to larger one. However I have had no problems with it so far and it gets small jobs done. The mini senco is not bad for a side kick and its very quiet.

Greater than one weekGreat for small jobs, trim work, and when you dont want to lug a big compressor around. Suitable for baseboard and casing installation too. The only weakness Ive found is that the check valve failed within two years. Its a $16 part so not a huge deal but I have other compressors that have been cranking for 10 years without any repair parts needed. Its so small and light. Love it despite the necessary repair.
