Everything about this product looks Top quality, from the craftsmanship, to the parts used... this should be the last air compressor I buy; should take care of all my needs... I purchased for my plasma cutter (worked great!) If your looking for a small, QUIET & trustworthy compressor, & want piece of mind, then I highly recommend this one! My pc is almost as loud as this compressor... your average box fan is substantially louder! I could run this in the living room, right beside the TV, & no-one would bat an eye, seriously!

Hearing is believing. This compressor purrs. Using is believing. This is plenty of compressor for smaller, but not necessarily small, jobs. As a guy with lots of woodworking to do around the house, but no commercial framing or heavy construction needs, its perfect. Light, very quiet, easy to operate. Nicely finished. Well packaged. Delivered on time. A great value. To my bright yellow, miserably loud Campbell Hausfeld: thanks for the service, but youre headed for Craigslist, baby. Now, an editorial: Why in the world dont other toolmakers understand that very few of us, perhaps none of us, want loud, clumsy tools? Why do toolmakers think that were just a bunch of uncritical, drooling knuckle-draggers happy to bang on pots and pans and ecstatic to have actual electricity instead of water wheels to run our tools? Whens the last time you didnt wince at the noise of your table saw, compressor, shop vac, sander, router, or other power tool? When is the last time you held a power tool and had that same sense of amazement and gee-whiz appreciation that you get picking up a new smartphone or iPad? Or when you get behind the wheel of a decent new car? Most toolmakers seem stuck in the business model of US carmakers circa 1975 -- youll take what we make, and well make what were used to making, irrespective of quality, convenience, and overall value. If you want innovation, well spray on a new paint color and add a Landau top. Cmon, guys. Apple gets it. Blackberry gets it. Toyota gets it. Google gets it. Even US automakers finally get it. Where are the 21st century power tools? Why should it be such an amazing thing to find, finally, a quiet, well-built compressor? OK, off the soapbox and down to the basement....

My use of this product is very light-duty; nothing more than forced air for cleaning up firearms and electronics. That being said, this little sucker has some trouble keeping up when under sustained usage even for what I would consider being short bursts. In other words, the motor is constantly running. Looking back, I probably should have gone one size larger on the tank size. I use this in an enclosed work area and I was very comfortable with the sound level of the motor. Other reviews had me nervous about that, but those nerves were unwarranted. Its quiet. Overall its pretty well made except for one replaceable part, that being the connection to the line pressure gauge and quick disconnect attachment. When the motor would stop running, I could hear the hiss of air leaking from somewhere. I verified it was not coming from the blow gun tool or the hose connections. I replaced the valve connecting to the line pressure gauge and the quick disconnect attachment with Milton brand (available on Amazon), and even before turning on the motor I knew Id fixed the problem. The fit and finish of the new valve & QD were far superior to what came with the compressor. This did, in fact, fix the air leak and Ive had zero problems since. This was a $17 replacement kit. Summary: Consider this not just a light-duty compressor, but a VERY light-duty compressor; good for instantly airing up tires, sports balls, and hobby & crafts work. Anything more strenuous than that and Id recommend a larger tank. That being said, I do like the quality from this manufacturer in all regards EXCEPT the valve & QD attachment as previously described. And the cost on this is really unbeatable for a quality, entry-level compressor.

I always wondered if the people that write one star reviews are just disgruntled idiots who dont really know how to use the tool they are complaining about....well know I lnow thats not the case! Let me start by saying I have now owned 4 of these compressors. This exact one the Senco PC1010 the first one I owned worked with out issue for 1 year the other three have never made it past 4 months.I am a professional refacer of cabinets and I use this with a 23 gauge pin nailer.Average use is 5 to 8 days a month. They just arnt made to last.I am careful with my tools and keep in the house and clean. The three have all had different issues, but today takes the cake..Im done. The two I had at the job site house both quit working properly with in 1 hour of each other. Compressor no.1 would fully fill its tank and the gauges read 125 psi but after 4 or 5 pins there was no more air being distributed from the compressor. So that one was done ! We tried letting it cool down for several hours ...still the same thing.Compressor no.2 would run until it got to 125 psi then on its own let out air back to 100psi.then after one 23 gauge pin nail it would start running g again and start the cycle all over.this is not pro gear not even weekend warrior quality. It has major production and quality flaws and should be recalled.By the way compressor no.3 back at the shop started doing the cycling itself to fill and then release all the air even with out firing pins ,just does it endlesslyover and over..what junk.I have switched to Makita. Not sure who is writing all these good reviews, but would you want to roll the dice on 3 different compressors taking a dump bought at 3 different times over the course of a year...not me ! Learn from my issues stay away from this product.

I was looking for a quite little compressor for my work area in the basement. I load my own ammunition, clean pistols & rifles as well as other hobby type projects. Wanted something to blow off excess cleaning fluid and dry parts after cleaning. Also needed something to keep the reloading area free of unwanted materials that can build up. Ive used Senco staple and nail guns for over forty years and have found them to be well made and durable. Figured Id give this small compressor a try. Glad I did. Its fairly quite for the confined area Im using it in and doesnt take up much space. Its been used now for a couple of months with absolutely no issues, hiccups or problems. Just plug it in and use it. I did purchase the... Legacy A73457D Color Connex Type D 7 Piece 1/4 in. Red Coupler and Plug Kit, Plastair HoseKoil PU425-1-3-AMZ 1/4-Inch x 25-Foot Polyurethane Lead Safe Ultra-Light Recoil Air Hose, Blue and the Campbell Hausfeld MP5143 Pistol Grip Blowgun ... to use with the compressor and they all work fine. The Legacy Color Connex connector kit had exactly what I needed by way of male/female connectors for the whole set up. Make sure you have a role of teflon tape to wrap the threads before assembly and youre good to go. No air leaks what-so-ever. The compressor comes with a regulator that allows you to adjust the pressure going to the hose which is a plus. The air gun also allows further air-flow adjustment with the trigger. All four items are first class in my opinion. Im a cabinetmaker by trade, so Ive used lots of compressors and accessories over the years. For what I wanted out of this system it is delivering 100% and well worth the money. I can recommend this to anyone looking for a small, quite hobby compressor to use indoors or out. I plan to build a sound-reduction cover for the unit and further reduce the noise it makes simply because its used indoors and I usually have music playing while working in the basement, but its fine as is since the amount of air Im using isnt a constant drain and the machine only runs for a few minutes at a time. If you need a compressor that will have to run hard to keep up with your usage you should look to a larger system. Keep in mind this has only a one gallon storage tank. Constant, high-volume usage will keep the motor running full time and may not keep up with your demand.

I wanted a quiet compressor for use with finish & brad nailers that would let me work without the noise bothering my neighbors. This compressor is quiet enough for that purpose. I can have it running in the garage and cannot hear it inside the house with the door closed. Similarly I can have it running in the living room and cannot hear it outside the house with doors and windows closed. Its not as quiet as, say the compressor in your fridge but quiet enough to not draw attention. The nail gun makes a more annoying sound (exhaust puff) than this compressor. I can fire 10 - 14 brads at 75 psi before it will kick back in for about a minute or so. It is well made and feels like a quality product. Ill try to update this after a few months of use this summer. Update 05/06/14 : Used to drive about 1000 brads, fill the car tires. Going strong.

Bought it to use as an airbrush compressor. Works perfect. I have had no problems whatsoever. Runs quiet as advertised. In fact, runs as quiet as the black compressor on the shelf above it in the picture. No cons on this end.

I purchased this unit based on a couple of reasons: a commercial builder was remodeling my bathrooms and used this compressor for trim installation. It looked as though it had been through a battle but the installer said it still worked like new and liked it. The other reason is Senco is a major supplier of commercial air guns and equipment. While this unit was inexpensive, I felt Senco wouldnt manufacture a piece of junk that would jeopardize their reputation. The compressor also includes a short 1/4 coil air hose with standard quick connect ends and a Senco 18ga. brad gun with a sample selection of 18ga. brads in various lengths. With the gun came a bottle of air gun lubricant, hex wrenches, a quick connect fitting, and a small roll of teflon seal tape for the fitting. Opened the box and it was almost ready to use (had to attach the quick connect fitting to the gun). Ive used it now for a few weeks installing base boards using a 50ft. 1/4 hose and and it has worked flawlessly. It is perfect for use with 18ga. brads. It isnt appropriate for nail guns as it doesnt have the CFM air capacity for that. It comes with a tank pressure and regulator pressure gauges. Well made unit, which is made in Taiwan, where many good quality machine tools are made. Would have liked to have had it been made in the USA though.

Sweet little air compressor. This is perfect for doing trim and assembly work, airing up tires, using as a blower, basically 90% of what you will ever need if you are not a professional contractor or mechanic. This will not drive a framing nailer for an entire building, but it WILL drive a framing nailer if you only need it for a couple shots at a time. Basically, for home use this is good enough for almost everything and it has a lot of big advantages over larger compressors in that its WAY lighter, easier to carry, and super quiet. It is the kind of thing that is very easy to take out to the driveway to air up your tires, or bring into your office to blow out your computer case, or any number of other similar small jobs you would not want to do with a large compressor. It will still do just about everything as long as you arent in a hurry. So if you are a hobby/home user and you are sure you wont need to do any very large jobs, or you can borrow a big one for those jobs, this thing is awesome for everything else. Fit and finish looks very nice, does not feel cheap. Overall very happy with this purchase.

As others have written, this unit is lightweight and quiet compared to slight larger compressors. I have a craftsman 1.5 hp compressor that is heavy and rusting away and it is much louder than this senco unit. Because of its low cfm, it forced me to consider if it was too small for my Bostitch trim nailer which seemed to require much higher cfm. Turns out the nailer cfm rating were for 100 nails per minute! The only application I have seen at that rate is a mexican nailing on a roof. If one is carefully nailing trim, a rate of 5 per minute is more likely. Upon using this compressor and the nailer, I found it worked just fine. It will probably work for larger nailers also but will not work for rotary power tools and the like that require continuous cfm. Also I found senco support to be quickly responsive. I went to their web site to download a digital copy of the manual and found an out-of-date version. I filled out their web form on a Sunday asking for the newer version and had it in an email before noon on Monday. Hard to beat.
