Started to make a loud noise after using it about 5 times. Looked online and followed possible resolutions to clean out dust bin, check wheels etc., but, did not correct problem. I was satisfied with performance until this occurred.

It does a excellent job. It learned map of house and I can easily use app to clean specific rooms. Easily climbs over high pile carpet and cleans. Transitions easily between hard surfaces onto carpet. Worth the money.

I looked at pros and cons of many robo vacuums before deciding on this one. It cleans quite well—I’m surprised at how much it picks up! I could not go 30 days without emptying, but we do have the two shedding dogs and a fair amount of sand. My dogs have short hair. I can see how longer hair might be a problem. Even short hair can clog a bit if you don’t regularly open things up to clean out. I run mine once a day, empty every day, and have learned that I need to clean the filter and clean the inside about once a week. If you don’t have pets and live in a sandy area, you can get by with a lot less. The filter works really well—do clean it more often than recommended. My only real complaint is that the battery seems to need more charging than I’d hoped. I have had trouble getting connected to wi-fi, but I haven’t called in for help yet—that seems to be a common issue. I will look forward to setting times and doing spot cleaning once I can use the app. All told, I’m very happy with the purchase so far.

I would totally love this vacuum if we lived in a larger area. The suction is mostly great (although, when its going over the hardwoods, it leaves the debris by the rugs). Really, its one of the best robot vacuums that we have had. I appreciate that it maps the house and you can direct it to not go into certain areas. Its also great at maneuvering throughout the house. The largest issue that I have had is that I feel like I spend more time picking stuff up around the house than I would just running the vacuum myself. Overall, the vacuum works well, the suction is powerful, and it really does clean well. I recommend it for larger areas or homes, especially if you have a pet!

I love my shark robe vacuum. I bought this after watching my daughters work around in her home. Ive named her Hazel and she is wonderful. The first couple days she worked she filled really quickly - the crazy thing went under me bed and found lots of dust bunnies - thank you Hazel. Now she can pretty much do the entire house with only one trip back to empty. Ive had Hazel about a month now and have found nothing I dont love about her. Twice she got her self into a spot where she needed help to get out. The notification part of the app told me of her distress and it was an easy fix. I never thought Id want or need a robot vacuum but now that I have one Im never giving her up!!!

I boxed this to return then did more searching for information on how best to use it. Im going to keep it for now and just know Ill need to clean the filters more often than I thought. The self emptying feature is really a game changer for me. After using this daily for 2 weeks Im going to stay with my original 4 stars. Our downstairs is basically an open room, 1200 with living areas designated by furniture and area rugs. Mapping isnt a big concern for me as long as it gets it all done. I continue to be unimpressed with the suction, I always have to have it on max, which even then doesnt seem to be as good as the commercials claim. I do empty the dust cup of pet hair every few days, and so far I havent had anything in the dust cup on the vac itself which concerned me. Today I opened the Pre-Motor Filter - which says to clean once a month - and found thats where ALL the dust was. I was very surprised and dont know if thats good or bad. Im used to hair, dust and anything else on the floor all going into one container. I cleaned and washed the filters and will see if that makes a difference. This is more complicated than my other robots as there are several filters to maintain. My feelings after a couple of weeks - Im not as happy as I thought Id be - but the self-emptying feature is so great I can overlook some disappointments. No way could I go 30 days but a good cleaning once a week or so is so much better than daily I wont complain. ********** I was very excited when my new robot arrived this morning. Ive had iroomba which I loved, Neato which is a love/hate affair because I so dislike having to empty and clean the bin and roller at least once during a cycle. I thought this Self Cleaning Shark was my answer. Ive only used it one day so will change my rating if I change my mind. The plus: Even though it has bristles, pet hair did not tangle. It did a great job of picking up pet hair, that others have problems with. LOVE that self-cleaning feature! It had no trouble getting into and out of tight spaces Price was reasonable The Cons: Had trouble connecting to app; robot said connected, iPhone said connected, app said not. Finally just let it run and it figured out the connection on its own. Emptied the dust bin on the dock and there was hair, but no dust, no dirt - just pet hair. Medium suction. Emptied the dust bin on the vac itself and it held some but no where near the amount of dirt and dust the Neato picks up. In fact am running the Neato now and it is picking up the dust the Shark didnt. This Shark answered the problems I had with the Neato but the suction wasnt near as good. Ill try it on max tomorrow and see how it does. Guess it depends on whats most important to you in a robot vac.

What a great piece of engineering. Fascinating what they’ve done with miniaturizing the drives and components, not to mention the programming. Truly impressive

Just bought our second one. I would say the only thing I dont really like about them is they have no problem running over my feet. You would think the sensor with sense the human!

I purchased two of these robots recently. 1 from Amazon and 1 from Walmart. TLDR: Buyer beware, if the unit arrives broken/defective, then you will have to pay for shipping for a replacement or parts even if the product is never used. I was attempting to work with the company as asked before returning to the seller, but had to return to the seller instead. Shark needs to work on their quality control. We understand where are you coming from, however as stated in the conditions of your warranty, when replacing the main body or the unit, customers are responsible for $25.95 plus taxes for the cost of shipping and handling. You can read it at the end of the manual.----------------------------------------------- 1 robot was purchased for upstairs and 1 for downstairs in my basement. Due to recent home repairs I was unable to open my 2nd shark robot until a few days ago. The product was unused, had all of the labels attached, the filter was spotless, and unregistered. When I went to open and charge the unit, I followed the instructions and sat the unit on the charging base. I attempted to register the product and it would not connect. I left the unit charging overnight and assumed the battery was drained. In the morning I attempted again to add the unit to my shark app with no luck. I removed the robot from the base and the lights completely turned off. I placed it back on the charging station and the lights turned on again and continued going from red (no battery) to blue (charging/Bluetooth). After a few more read through of the instructions, I contacted Shark customer service. During my call, the phone agent registered my account (you cant use it unless its registered to the app) so they knew it had never been used. After explaining the issue to me she sent me a video link and we continued the call through their video support. She walked me through the steps (very nice) and in the end determined the unit was defective and/or the battery was bad and would send a new one. After providing her my shipping information she asks me for a credit card to charge shipping fee to. After some clarification she explains that while the warranty does cover defective units, it does not cover shipping costs. I explained I would not pay for shipping on a brand new, unused product which she verified by registering the product to my account and video calling me for tech support. She offered to send a battery instead, but again advised that it will be $25.00 for shipping. I email their support team and am advised the same thing. Regardless of the issue, if Shark has to send a replacement or part, they will bill you for the shipping. It does not matter if the product is new and unused or gently used. Email from Shark Support: ---------------------------------------- We are sorry about this situation with your unit. We will do our best to have this matter resolved. We understand where are you coming from, however as stated in the conditions of your warranty, when replacing the main body or the unit, customers are responsible for $25.95 plus taxes for the cost of shipping and handling. I wanted to wait until I had owned it for a while so that I could submit a quality review. I had a very expensive Deebot before and I replaced it with the shark. This thing is unbelievable. It cleans better than the Deebot ever did. It cleans dirt I didnt even know I had. It gets in tons of places that the Deebot couldnt or wouldnt. My floors have never been cleaner. I highly recommend. There were some bad reviews about the software. I think its great too. I bought two, and they are fan.efin.tastic!
