> 3 daySo wash my 8 year old was able to dye her own shirt. It was a lot of fun. I will say- wear the gloves when you rinse them prior to washing. I didn’t expect so much run-off since we let them sit for 4 days (I forgot about them). But it happened. And my hands are blue. :) Definitely worth the money. The instructions can be confusing on how to roll or twirl the shirt but YouTube is available to help with that. Wet the shirts first…the dye will not soak if the shirt is dry. Good luck and enjoy.

> 3 dayThese dyes worked great just didnt have enough to dye all our items! The package indicates that it can dye 36 items but we didnt find that to be the case. We dyed 17 pieces (6 kids shirts, 6 adult shirts and 5 pairs adult boxers briefs) and ran out after that. We didnt heavily soak our items with dye, some actually came out quite white. We ended up needing to get 2 kits to finish our dying. Also, the first case of colored dye we received didnt give us all the colors it mentioned on the outside of the box. We were given an extra blue and one less green. The second set we ordered was fine.

Greater than one weekI love the idea of this product, the color variety is great and the box and everything that comes with it is great too. However the quality of the actual dye is very poor. They wash out almost immediately no matter what you do to set the colors. End result is tie dye that looks faded and muddy because everything runs together. What’s worse is that the color keeps dripping no matter how many washes the fabric goes through, so you can’t wear any of the clothes because it continues to stain your skin and any other fabric it the tie dye touches. you would be MUCH better off spending a little more money and having a product that comes out right and actually lasts.

> 3 dayMaking tie dye t-shirts is a highlight of our camping trip in the summer. Everyone can participate, and the “unveiling” of the shirt when it’s rinsed is a lot of fun. It’s a mess, but we plan for that, and the kids proudly wear their shirts that they made afterwards. It’s hard for the kids to wait until the next day to unwrap the shirts because they have to sit for 12 hours or so but it adds to the anticipation

> 3 dayI have never tie dyed before and this kit was amazing and fun! It was well explained and absolutely everything you need comes right inside (except items to dye) so it is perfect for newbies. My 3 and 5 year old easily used it as well! We can’t wait to tie dye more!
