> 3 dayThis was a great project for my grand daughter and myself. It really was a great time and we did a time laps video of us making the shirts. I would suggest leaving on as long as you can but even after only 12 hours they were great. I just about could live it Tie Dye shirts forever. I had read some things about using Soda Ash first and I did get some but it turns out for Tulip Brand like this I guess it is in it already and not needed. Just get damp, wrap up however, bag it for a day and rinse out like crazy. I did wash with other like shirts with a tiny bit of color safe bleach to help set the dye and seemed to work great.

> 3 dayFrom the pictures that other people posted, these tulip dyes looked weak and diluted so I my expectations were very low. But after seeing the results of this crumpled mandala tank I made for my bf, I am a firm believer that you don’t need expensive Porcion dyes to make a super sick intricate tie dye (though I will be investing in them at some point) especially if you’re a beginner, like me, looking to tie dye for the first time. What worked best for me was getting needle tip bottles and concentrating the dye, so I put half the amount of the powder from the Tulip bottles in my tiny bottles then filled those up with water. These bottles are about half the size of the Tulip bottles and really help you control the amount of dye you’re using. As for the background, I used the Tulip bottles to really get better spread with the Blue and Black from the pack. 24 hours later, I rinsed with ICE COLD water then did another ice cold wash in the sink with diluted dawn dish soap. The shirt I used was 95% Bamboo Rayon and 5% Spandex. I was concerned that those materials wouldn’t hold on to this dye well, but I was wrong. I couldn’t have asked for a better result. Just make sure that if you want your tie dye to last that you’re washing super cold and separate from your other laundry then hang drying!

> 3 dayFirst the positive info: The variety of colors in this pack are awesome. We had some really beautiful shirts come out of our group activity. Everybody was please with the colors. Also, I don’t think tie-dye can get much easier than using squirt bottles to apply the color. Very easy to use for a group of kids ranging from 6th to 12 grade. The only problem was estimating how much I would need for a group. This was my first year as the craft organizer at a youth group camp. I knew tie-dye shirts are a staple activity that the students LOVE to do. Tulip brand one-step dye was used in the past so I just decided to go with it this year too. I did a lot of research before hand to make good use of our funds and still have enough for all the kids. I decided to go with these bundles because they were $15.85 each at the time I purchased. I was a little bit surprised by how small the bottles were, though, and I was nervous upon seeing them that we woudn’t have enough. I read several questions regarding the Tulip dyes and it seemed like one bottle per person on average was recommended. I can tell you that is NOT the case for the bottles in this pack. Between five packs I had 90 bottles. We were only able to do 66 shirts and on those last shirts we were literally going through every bottle to use every last drop of dye we could. We had to turn a few kids away because we didn’t have enough dye. Now I understand the situation was a result more of my planning and not because of the product, however, I did find it hard to figure out how much I needed ahead of time (even with all the research I did). I would say for this pack plan on at least an average of 1.5 bottles per shirt. So if you bought one kit, you might get twelve adult size sm-large shirts done. You might even want to be safe and plan on only 10 shirts out of this pack. I hope that helps anyone in the future.

> 3 dayThese did the job, but we didn’t really like how runny the ink was after the water was added. It made it kind of a mess and hard to control where the color went. Also could have used more rubber bands since this is supposed to be good for a ton of projects. Great for the price, but not my favorite tie dye kit I’ve ever bought. Still a fun project!

> 3 dayWe used the kit with grandchildren. 10 year old grand daughter thoroughly enjoyed using her imagination to do many shirts. 8 year old grandson lost interest after 1 shirt. We did this on our deck table outside on days it wouldnt rain, putting each shirt one at a time on my cookie cooling racks that were over a tray to catch all the drips from the dye. We pre washed 100% cotton t shirts before applying color. Some shirts were done without the enclosed rubber bands. When we were running low on the colors we liked, we added more water to the bottles. There are disposable gloves included that are ill fitting, so I preferred to use my good disposable gloves. We never finished the shirts after applying dye and letting them dry. They still need to be individually rinsed and then washed so we will see how they do then.

> 3 dayThis has been one of my favorite hobbies for as long as I can remember. Not only is it incredibly therapeutic but it definitely helps ease anxiety and can keep me busy for hours. I introduced it to my son and now he loves it just as much as me! I’ve been getting this same kit for YEARS and this was so upsetting when we tried mixing our yellow. It began to leak everywhere and when I picked up the bottle I noticed that eraser sized hole in it :( not a huge deal but definitely not happy with it. Still a good thing to do with and without the kids!

> 3 dayThis kid has beautiful colors and is super easy and super cute. The colors are vibrant and it was very fun making tie-dye shirts with my niece. The only thing is I suggest not using the day after it’s already been mixed for a couple days. We didn’t use it all at once so it was already mixed for a few months and we tried it again and the colors didn’t come out as vibrant but they definitely still looked pretty just lighter.

> 3 dayThis was my first take at doing tie dye and I was very nervous but this product made it SO simple. All conveniently packaged together in a bin complete with several sets of gloves, plastic drop cloth and tons of rubber bands. All you have to do is add water to the little containers and shake to mix it up and thats it. I am not a tie dye expert and wanted something fun to do for my daughters 9th bday party and this was a huge hit. The only issue we had was taking the tips off the lids, some of them I had to cut with scissors. Overall, an excellent product for beginners. I highly recommend.

> 3 dayMy husband and I were looking for fun date nights to do during quarantine and after googling and searching around found out we always wanted to do our own tie-dye projects! We bounced around on different clothing items with the galaxy one but we really wanted to make a tie-dye sheet set for our king mattress. These kits are easy to use, there are a TON of fun tutorials on youtube and everywhere, and we continue to use the kits to make shirts/sweats/bedding/ and are tempted to do a wall tapestry next. The colors are super vibrant, but make sure to wear gloves and black clothing so it doesnt stain because it absolutely will, the wash out process isnt painful, and after one wash I havent had any bleeding in my other laundry. Highly recommend all this brands kits.
