> 3 dayI was impressed that this kit did as many projects as it described! I bought 2 kits because I was worried about there not being enough to make 17 shirts for my 5th grade students but I have an entire kit leftover and we had to dump a lot of extra mixed color we didn’t get used. It is okay I got 2 kits as several students wanted the same colors, but I intend on just using the color selection that I have left with next years class! I ordered shirts off of jiffy and htv vinyl off Amazon to put our school name. Cost less than $5/shirt all in and the kids love them! Very pleased.

> 3 dayI used this with a group of kids at Vacation Bible School, ages 3 to 14. Everyone enjoyed it - even the adults and everyones shirt was different! Yes, it can be a little messy, but we did it outside. With a little help, even the youngest could apply the dye. We let them sit overnight, then rinsed them (worst part) them hung them on the clothesline to dry. We did 15 shirts and still had some dye left over. I would definitely do this again.

Greater than one weekThis is such a great kit. We chose this for the activity at my daughters 7th birthday. Easy to set up, great color choices. My only regret is not knowing how many bottles to fill for the 10 kids making shirts. We filled all but six bottles, and had a ton left over that went to waste. I would recommend filling one of each color only and then if you run out fill up more. The upside is we do have some left over for another activity, but we would have probably had enough to do it two more times had we not used so much initially. Would buy again!

> 3 dayWe did everything that was suggested, we pre-washed and dried our shirts, we used 100% cotton. We did a vinegar water soak and wrung the shirts out thoroughly, we then tied and dyed our shirts which was great. We let them sit for 24 hours wrapped in plastic to keep them moist, then did the initial rinse.... Shirts all look wonderful, very vibrant, we are very happy! Then we washed as instructed, cold water, gentle cycle, a couple tablespoons of woolite gentle detergent. All of the shirts faded horribly and are now pastel colored and my son wont wear them. It seems like most of the pigment of the warmer colors washed out, as did most of the blue tones from the things like purple and black. We were left with a lot of Pinks and grays at the end where originally dark blues, purples, pinks, orange, and red had been. I dont know what else we could have done differently. It was such a disappointment between the rents and the wash at the result of the shirts. And its not like we can re-dive them or anything at this point so were out of the cost of the kit and the cost of all the shirts. Oh well, at least the process was fun.

> 3 dayThis was a great project for my grand daughter and myself. It really was a great time and we did a time laps video of us making the shirts. I would suggest leaving on as long as you can but even after only 12 hours they were great. I just about could live it Tie Dye shirts forever. I had read some things about using Soda Ash first and I did get some but it turns out for Tulip Brand like this I guess it is in it already and not needed. Just get damp, wrap up however, bag it for a day and rinse out like crazy. I did wash with other like shirts with a tiny bit of color safe bleach to help set the dye and seemed to work great.

Greater than one weekI thought I was getting a super deal on this kit. Ive seen it in stores and its twice the price. I was wrong. I was tricked. The bottles are tiny! The kits from the craft store come with bigger bottles than this kit. The part that really makes me mad though, is theres no hint that these bottles are small. The bottles dont have a description on them, the box doesnt say how big the bottles are, and the listing doesnt include it either. It was easy to use and the colors were beautiful, but I wouldnt buy it again just because of the size of the bottles.
