> 3 dayWe took this kit and cotton t-shirts to have a crafting extravaganza with our Grandchildren over the Christmas Holiday! It was a big hit! The kids ages 4 -8 really enjoyed being creative with all the fun colors offered in this kit! And then loved showing off their wonderful creations as they wore their shirts!

Greater than one weekFirst the positive info: The variety of colors in this pack are awesome. We had some really beautiful shirts come out of our group activity. Everybody was please with the colors. Also, I don’t think tie-dye can get much easier than using squirt bottles to apply the color. Very easy to use for a group of kids ranging from 6th to 12 grade. The only problem was estimating how much I would need for a group. This was my first year as the craft organizer at a youth group camp. I knew tie-dye shirts are a staple activity that the students LOVE to do. Tulip brand one-step dye was used in the past so I just decided to go with it this year too. I did a lot of research before hand to make good use of our funds and still have enough for all the kids. I decided to go with these bundles because they were $15.85 each at the time I purchased. I was a little bit surprised by how small the bottles were, though, and I was nervous upon seeing them that we woudn’t have enough. I read several questions regarding the Tulip dyes and it seemed like one bottle per person on average was recommended. I can tell you that is NOT the case for the bottles in this pack. Between five packs I had 90 bottles. We were only able to do 66 shirts and on those last shirts we were literally going through every bottle to use every last drop of dye we could. We had to turn a few kids away because we didn’t have enough dye. Now I understand the situation was a result more of my planning and not because of the product, however, I did find it hard to figure out how much I needed ahead of time (even with all the research I did). I would say for this pack plan on at least an average of 1.5 bottles per shirt. So if you bought one kit, you might get twelve adult size sm-large shirts done. You might even want to be safe and plan on only 10 shirts out of this pack. I hope that helps anyone in the future.

Greater than one weekI needed to tie dye 100 t-shirts and using the Tulip dye was actually fun. I was a beginner and It was easy to use. The colors were bright and so far, after a couple of washings, my own shirt still looks great. I would highly recommend these kits. There are multiple bottles of each color, and the dye will last a long time if it isnt diluted. Once its diluted, it has to be used within a couple of days.

> 3 dayI used this with a group of kids at Vacation Bible School, ages 3 to 14. Everyone enjoyed it - even the adults and everyones shirt was different! Yes, it can be a little messy, but we did it outside. With a little help, even the youngest could apply the dye. We let them sit overnight, then rinsed them (worst part) them hung them on the clothesline to dry. We did 15 shirts and still had some dye left over. I would definitely do this again.

> 3 dayThese dyes worked great just didnt have enough to dye all our items! The package indicates that it can dye 36 items but we didnt find that to be the case. We dyed 17 pieces (6 kids shirts, 6 adult shirts and 5 pairs adult boxers briefs) and ran out after that. We didnt heavily soak our items with dye, some actually came out quite white. We ended up needing to get 2 kits to finish our dying. Also, the first case of colored dye we received didnt give us all the colors it mentioned on the outside of the box. We were given an extra blue and one less green. The second set we ordered was fine.

> 3 dayThis is perfect for a small group of people. It honestly depends on how many shirts you are doing. I use it for myself and 2 kids and its wonderful. We each tie dye about 4/5 shirts and this set is just enough for us as long as we all pick different colors.

> 3 dayWe used the kit with grandchildren. 10 year old grand daughter thoroughly enjoyed using her imagination to do many shirts. 8 year old grandson lost interest after 1 shirt. We did this on our deck table outside on days it wouldnt rain, putting each shirt one at a time on my cookie cooling racks that were over a tray to catch all the drips from the dye. We pre washed 100% cotton t shirts before applying color. Some shirts were done without the enclosed rubber bands. When we were running low on the colors we liked, we added more water to the bottles. There are disposable gloves included that are ill fitting, so I preferred to use my good disposable gloves. We never finished the shirts after applying dye and letting them dry. They still need to be individually rinsed and then washed so we will see how they do then.

> 3 dayBought 2 big tie dye kits and planned to print out the free printable for decorating and the after care instructions for tie dye to stick on each bag for the kids to take them home and wash. I tried on my phone at first, then I got my computer and tried downloading them. I never could get them downloaded so I just had to make do with what I had or could find/buy somewhere else. So be prepared to make your own instructions for kids to take home. Also several bottles I noticed had slits/cuts so as I filled the bottles I noticed and had to hurry and put the bottle into a plastic cup to prevent dye from getting all over the place. Other than that it was a fun tie dye party. But very misleading as it says several times and there are several Tulip videos that mentions the printable.. but as I stated never could download. It kept saying something along lines of this site is for sale? So I just stopped messing with it.
