> 3 dayThe product itself is very good, however, I am very disappointed that I needed to pay an additional charge of $19.99 in order to e-file my state income tax. It is deceptive the way the wording describes the product. If it doesnt include e-file for both state and federal, then make it clear. I did not appreciate the extra cost nor seeing the same product advertised two weeks later for half that cost.

> 3 dayBought and installed Turbo Tax 2010 Home and Business. Have used turbo Tax for years without incident. Install said I have to also install Microsoft framework.net something. Turbo Tax installed. Asked me to complete a form for more information on me (i.e. Where did you buy...) Asked to update software, which I did. Then I closed the program. My computer was completely locked up. I could not even use Control,Atl, Delete to end programs and shut off. I had to manually turn off computer. Now computer wont even boot. Cant start in safe mode. Cant do anything. I get the Blue screen of death 3 hours of tech support was totally useless!!!! They twice escalated the call, was going to escalated again and they DROPPED THE CALL. Called back - and the new tech said they had no record of call, even through they took down all sorts of info. Had to start from scratch. This guy could not help and could not even escalate call. So now this program trashed my computer to unusable. Have NO help from them. Taking the computer to a shop to hopefully help out. ARRRGGGHHH. WATCH OUT!

Greater than one weekI dont know what is wrong with Intuit, but for the second year in a row I have purchased TurboTax Home and Business, had to take more than three hours waiting on the phone, talking with support, downloading removing and reinstalling programs, only to find out that out that the program doesnt work and they will be sending me a new disc to see if that works. I hope I can finish my taxes, but it is almost March now, and Im concerned about TurboTaxs ability to produce a product that works. It always seems full of problems, and I dont like the interface, often having to go to the forms to fill them out properly, and then having to check the result to ensure that TurboTax didnt duplicate anything, which it has done on more than one occasion.

> 3 dayEach year the software gets better. I have been using TurboTax for decades. I know there are other tax software packages, but I dont want to learn a new one.

> 3 dayThis weekend, I attempted to file my mothers income tax with this software. She had used the TurboTax version for the Taxable Year 2009 as well. However, both versions have one major software flaw, and its a big one: Even though I entered values for capital losses in the software, it did not show in the final version, nor were these capital losses refelected in the tax computations. Effectively, even though capital losses may be carried over indefinitely, my mother would have lost them meaning that (1) she would not have had the benefit of offsetting any capital gains (she sold her home of 35 years and, yes, she did have a large paper gain, even with the $250,000 exclusion for the sale of a home) and (2) even if she did not have a capital gain, $3,000 of capital losses may be utilized per year to offset ordinary income. These capital losses were not reflected in her 2009 tax return, also filed via TurboTax, so she lost that $3,000 deduction. I will have to file an amended return for that year. Fortunately, I was able to download H & R Blocks software so that her return (with the extension) was timely filed today. My biggest concern is this: I have an advanced degree in tax and was able to crunch the numbers in my head. I only use this type of software because it is more convenient than filling out a paper form. And, beside, the IRS prefers electronic filings. But what about those of you who are dependent on this software? Had I used this software, my mother would have owed $15,000 in tax. However, she really owes nothing. Makes me wonder what other little bugs are in this software. STAY AWAY!

> 3 dayProduct is Great. I would give it a 5 if not for price. I started out with the product years ago when it was a low cost option. While it is not so inexpensive these days, it is still my choice.

> 3 dayI am a last minute tax preparer - and I am both self employed and have a regular job, so the number of forms, etc... can get ridiculous. So my moto has been never do today what you can put off until tomorrow when it comes to the IRS and taxes. This year Tax time seemed to rush up on me. I looked at all my receipts, records, etc... and it was all too much. So on impulse I decided to try Turbo Tax. It was quick, easy to use, found deductions I had never even heard of (imagine how much I have been over paying - wince!), and wonderfully cheaper to purchase at amazon. And wala!!! I was done 2 days early! Better and cheaper than some tax preparer companies I have been to even. Loved It - will be using Turbo Tax all the time from now on. I recommend you try it as well. R Walker

> 3 dayThis is still a great tax software product! I wish there was more competition to choose from, but this one has worked for me for several years now. Since I am not good at doing taxes, business and personal, this is great for me. I like having my hand held. I once did my taxes with a CPA while at the same time I did the same thing with the Turbo Tax software. My CPA was able to save me about $10 more in taxes than Turbo Tax which didnt seem to be a significant difference for me since my CPA was costing me over $200, so Ive switched to only Turbo Tax. I like this product!

Greater than one weekI purchased TT 2010, cheap, in late 2012 and entered my accountant generated data, for a test of TT against my accountant. Turbo Tax came out with the same tax, which was the upside. The downside was, I qualified for two credits that TT would not allow, I put them elsewhere, just for test purposes, but TT would not allow the override of those fields. If this had not been a test, TT would have caused me more tax. I will be trying this again with 2011 tax year returns.
