TurboTax Home & Business Federal + e-File + State 2010 - [Old Version]

I love Turbo Tax. I remember this one had a glitch that was pretty frustrating, but once I learned it was THEM & NOT ME, & they corrected it, all was fine! The next yr I forgot that I got this on Amazon & bought it from Turbo Tax for about $25 more. Still had a gllitch, but now I know that just happens & its TT no matter where you get it! Just cost more from TT. I plan to get it from Amazon next time!

I have been using Turbo Tax Home & Business for several years and have always been happy with it. I had it transfer the information from 2009, which saves some time, then I quickly progressed through Federal & State, since I had already gathered all my information before starting. Then I e-filed both. The only additional charge was $19.95 on my credit card for e-filing the State. I dont itemize, so I dont expect any problems from the new tax laws that are just now being made available to tax preparers.

Use for taxs

I find TurboTax Home & Business to be very easy to use. However I did not find a way to have my complete return reviewed. That would be nice to have an expert look over the whole thing.

I cannot believe that I purchased TurboTax Home & Business and it is totally useless. First of all, when installing it went through a plethora of updates. Each time it attempted an update, the program crashed. I was able to overcome this by not clicking on the OK button and letting the updates run, in spite of the program asking for validation of the update installs. Once the updates were seemingly complete, the program froze and required a hard reset to return to a condition in which it allowed me to startup. I then spent over an hour entering my data from W-2, 1099s, deductions, etc., and then the Save option was grayed out. HOW CAN INTUIT ALLOW SUCH A PIECE OF GARBAGE TO BE RELEASED???!!! I have used TurboTax every year for the past 6 years. This is absolutely unacceptable. This is not just a matter of Quality Control problems, this borders on fraud! I am sure they were rushing to get this out and trying to hit certain revenue numbers, yadah, yadah, but if I were a shareholder of this company, I would hold the CEO to task on this one!! I am sending this back to Amazon for a refund and am going to find another way to do my taxes this year. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again will I use TurboTax. DO NOT BUY. And, Amazon, if you read these messages, you should send all of your inventory of TurboTax back to Intuit for a refund. I am surprised at you, Amazon Buyers. Dont you test products before you sell them????

Im SO happy this software still loaded using Windows 10. I just got a client whos behind in tax filings, and this was the best way to prepare the returns based on the tax code at the time. So far, so good - it loaded, opens & I was able to register it online. WooHoo.

I was dissipointed in the way the state portion of this worked, I live in one state that does not have tax, and was trying to figure the tax on a state where I am working. It locked me in my home state.

The product itself is very good, however, I am very disappointed that I needed to pay an additional charge of $19.99 in order to e-file my state income tax. It is deceptive the way the wording describes the product. If it doesnt include e-file for both state and federal, then make it clear. I did not appreciate the extra cost nor seeing the same product advertised two weeks later for half that cost.

Ive been using TurboTax for the last 15 years and it always does an awesome job. It lets me know what my audit risk is and this year I received $150 more on my state return when I didnt use all my charitable deductions... dont ask me why but there must be a weird formula the state uses. More than paid for itself! Highly recommend!

The seller shipped fast and it is what I ordered. I have used this product last year and it was fine. This year TurboTax seemed to change their questions and layout a little, parts of the product were hard to figure out for sale of investment property. Other than that the product was fine.
