TurboTax Home & Business Federal + e-File + State 2010 - [Old Version]

I cannot believe that I purchased TurboTax Home & Business and it is totally useless. First of all, when installing it went through a plethora of updates. Each time it attempted an update, the program crashed. I was able to overcome this by not clicking on the OK button and letting the updates run, in spite of the program asking for validation of the update installs. Once the updates were seemingly complete, the program froze and required a hard reset to return to a condition in which it allowed me to startup. I then spent over an hour entering my data from W-2, 1099s, deductions, etc., and then the Save option was grayed out. HOW CAN INTUIT ALLOW SUCH A PIECE OF GARBAGE TO BE RELEASED???!!! I have used TurboTax every year for the past 6 years. This is absolutely unacceptable. This is not just a matter of Quality Control problems, this borders on fraud! I am sure they were rushing to get this out and trying to hit certain revenue numbers, yadah, yadah, but if I were a shareholder of this company, I would hold the CEO to task on this one!! I am sending this back to Amazon for a refund and am going to find another way to do my taxes this year. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again will I use TurboTax. DO NOT BUY. And, Amazon, if you read these messages, you should send all of your inventory of TurboTax back to Intuit for a refund. I am surprised at you, Amazon Buyers. Dont you test products before you sell them????

Amazon always has the lowest prices on the products they sell. I was watching the prices on Turbo Tax home and business software because that is what I have been using for the past 6-7 years to do my taxes. I was waiting for Office Depot and Staples to bring their price down on this product but when I saw the price that Amazon was selling Turbo Tax for I had to get it. I just knew that the other stores could not match the Amazon price for such a great product. Turbo Tax is a great product that is easy to use and you can ask for help on anything you have trouble with - easy and on-line.

I have a small business based from my home. I have used Turbo Tax to prepare our taxes for the last 5 years. It gives you step by step instructions, so you do not miss any deduction. I keep track of all my bookkeeping on Quick Books and when it is tax time, Turbo Tax merges everything from Quick Books into the tax documents. Which this saves me a boat load of time. If you are unsure of a deduction, it has a quick reference guide to explain the deduction to you in an easy format. With this feature you know for sure if you are actually entitled to the deduction. You never have to read up on the new tax laws because Turbo Tax already has all the new tax law updates built right in or updates them for you automatically. It also has a automatic error check to make all blanks have been completed. I would highly recommend this product.

I have been using Turbo Tax Home & Business for several years and have always been happy with it. I had it transfer the information from 2009, which saves some time, then I quickly progressed through Federal & State, since I had already gathered all my information before starting. Then I e-filed both. The only additional charge was $19.95 on my credit card for e-filing the State. I dont itemize, so I dont expect any problems from the new tax laws that are just now being made available to tax preparers.

Been using TurboTax since its inception. Each new version of the program gets better. People who experience problems with the software either do not understand taxes or do not know how to use the help features. As a last resort, call support. It would be great if Turbo Tax people had a loyalty program and gave past users a special price break ! I am still waiting for a special section of user tools that will allow the user to associate specific areas over the years (the last ten would be great.) I have tried other tax programs, but their features do not compare with Turbo Tax.

Im SO happy this software still loaded using Windows 10. I just got a client whos behind in tax filings, and this was the best way to prepare the returns based on the tax code at the time. So far, so good - it loaded, opens & I was able to register it online. WooHoo.

Sue me - Ive been using Turbo Tax since almost its inception. Ive been doing my own, and the taxes of friends, for years - long enough that I used to buy a Guide and do it all by hand. I find Turbo Tax quite easy to use, and I have never found a reason to switch. It is good for those who need to be walked through everything, and also for those who know what theyre looking for - it is almost always easy to find the right form/section, although if there is one flaw is that sometimes even I, an experienced user, cant quite jump to where I want to go, but find myself having to go through a hierarchy. My favorite part about buying this product on Amazon was the deep discount. I shopped around a lot before choosing to make my purchase here.

For many years we used a CPA to prepare our tax returns. A few years ago, one of them was audited by the IRS. While it totally passed muster, as I knew it would, it cost us $2,000 for the CPA to represent us. Nonsense, I said. Im an excellent record keeper, Ill admit. So I figured if the TurboTax was user friendly, I would be home free. And on top of that, for an extra 50 bucks or so, TurboTax will represet you in an IRS audit. Perfect. So for the last four years, Ive used TurboTax. Its easy enough if you take your time and you pay attention to each question it asks you.

I find TurboTax Home & Business to be very easy to use. However I did not find a way to have my complete return reviewed. That would be nice to have an expert look over the whole thing.

Its advertised as including one state free. But the state no longer works.
