TurboTax Home & Business Federal + e-File + State 2010 - [Old Version]

i usually read reviews but i am ashamed to say - do not write them up. i felt that i must warn people so that they may avoid wasting the hours i lost. also, hopefully intuit will make positive changes. the first problem was calling the 1-800 number given on the website for technical support. wait time on the site said 5 minutes. i was put on hold and every few minutes asked to remain on the line for 30 minutes. i gave up and tried again for another 30 minutes. i called another day - same deal for 10 minutes so i decided to google for another number and got service right away. the support tech was great but still could not resolve the problem i had with being able to retrieve the 2009 tax form. if you click on continue it searches and keeps searching. the transfer return button is greyed out. clicking on file tax return does not do it either. what finally worked was going to the file menu and opening up the 2009 return. warning - do not select continue which throws you into searching for the 2009 return. when i get into the search mode it freezes up my mac so i cant log out unless i shut the computer off. and you are back where you started..........

I picked this up to do my taxes this year. It is a great product and it really lets you cover all of your bases to make sure you have done everything right. It includes a free efile for federal taxes and comes with free state software, however you have to pay 19.99 to efile your state taxes. I saved a lot of money too by buying it through amazon. I will be buying this again next year!

We have been doing our taxes with Turbo Tax for years. It is simple and easy to use, and WAY less expensive than hiring someone to do your taxes. Besides, they use tax software to do your taxes so why not cut the middle man? The only thing you have to do is gather up your information and enter it into the program when prompted. At the end, you are even given an opportunity to plan for next years taxes. I highly recommend this program!

The product itself is very good, however, I am very disappointed that I needed to pay an additional charge of $19.99 in order to e-file my state income tax. It is deceptive the way the wording describes the product. If it doesnt include e-file for both state and federal, then make it clear. I did not appreciate the extra cost nor seeing the same product advertised two weeks later for half that cost.

This is really too soon to write a review ... but I have used Turbo Tax Home & Business for years and expect this will perform as well as always ... Im still waiting for the government to catch up with the changes so that I can submit the 2010 return NEXT month.

Wound up using and ready the IRS rules the old fashioned way. I felt the Turbo Tax just led you down a one way street

I bought Turbo Tax to file past taxes this year. the program worked well, but I had a problem with retaining the save file. I had to do my taxes twice and both times after I saved the file, upon trying to re-access the saved file there was no information to be found. I believe this may have been caused by using dated software on a updated OS. Otherwise the product work as expected.

Once again, Turbotax has escorted me through the horribleterribleawful maze of filing Federal Income Tax. After ten years of experience with the software I feel it continues to improve and provide value. I have confidence that things are done correctly. Now, if it could prevent my harddrive from crashing, it would be the best ever.

I have used this product for many years since I am a small business owner. Works well to provide W2s, and provide a starting place for my tax accountant. The only concern is that it seems to be a little slower this year in starting up.
