V8 Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Converted to Replace for Dyson V8 Battery, Works with Dyson V8 Series Animal Absolute Vacuum Cleaner(DW20V8 Adapter ONLY)

These adapters only work on the low power setting. I tried it on 2 different fully operational dyson v8 vacuums and neither worked so I figured I just got a defective one and switched out a replacement, but had the same result with the replacement, so these just dont work on max power.

Works good in standard power but works for 10 sec on max power.....

I was skeptical of the product, but after installing it, it fits perfectly. The new adapter holes lineup exactly with original Dyson holes so installation is easy I do recommend taking off all front components to get better access to the two bottom screws

Fully charged Dewalt Brand battery, it keeps turning off intermittently. Tried with 2 different batteries.

Works for about 15sec and quits , waste of money

I assume that there is a high voltage cutoff built in to the Dyson vacuum. I used a brand new Dewalt battery that was fully charged. I suspected that a fully charge battery was causing the vacuum to cycle on and off as part of its over-voltage circuitry so I ran the battery in a drill for 20 seconds and then tried again and voila! Super powerful and lasts for a long time.

It fits perfectly, but as others said it will not work on the max setting. Thats a deal breaker for me, so Im sending it back. Quite a bit bummed, but gave it a try (in hopes the other reviews were outdated). This is as of 14 February 2023. Good luck!

This product is great, using the Dewalt batteries is so much easier

Unfortunately this product only works for low suction. As soon as you switch it to max suction the battery light flashes red and shuts off. I dont know about you, but the low suction on my Dyson isnt even worth it. Waste of time & money with this attachment.

I have multiple DeWalt batteries that I use everyday while at work. The largest battery that I have provided just a few seconds more than what the original Dyson is capable of. Any other battery would instantly shut the vacuum off if I try to use max suction. I received a replacement and had the same results. The issue isnt with my batteries... I can go days with constant use using my power tools and with no immediate need to recharge.
