V8 Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Converted to Replace for Dyson V8 Battery, Works with Dyson V8 Series Animal Absolute Vacuum Cleaner(DW20V8 Adapter ONLY)

2 Things I have run into that may be a deal breaker for others. First it does not fit back into the wall storage charging station because the base where the battery used to be is now too large, this is without the Dewalt battery of course. Second the smaller 2 amp hour batteries do not work well with this. My guess is that as the battery charge lessens the voltage drops and the vacuum shuts off. I have not had a problem with the 4 or 6 amp hour batteries. It uses a surprising amount of battery when in high and using the brush attachments.

So I purchased this because I’m on my third oem battery replacement and I hate those battery that only last 2-3 min on full ballast and now I can use my 6ah battery and I can change it when the battery runs out and that’s like 20-30 min later I’m all done with vacuuming only down side no oem charging port but that’s minimal

worth every penny

Worked for a while the first dat, then I would get about 5 seconds of power, then shutoff. Have to pull and re-insert battery, gets another 5 seconds, repeat.

Plastic around the trigger broke off and unit snapped apart within 4 months.

I was skeptical of the product, but after installing it, it fits perfectly. The new adapter holes lineup exactly with original Dyson holes so installation is easy I do recommend taking off all front components to get better access to the two bottom screws

These adapters only work on the low power setting. I tried it on 2 different fully operational dyson v8 vacuums and neither worked so I figured I just got a defective one and switched out a replacement, but had the same result with the replacement, so these just dont work on max power.

Works with Dewalt 2Ah Max and 1.7 Ah Powerstack but vacuum pulses on and off with 5Ah Powerstack. Disappointed that it can’t be used with a higher capacity battery.

This modification has extended the life of my aging Dyson battery BUT it is really heavy and clunky. The Dyson no longer can sit flush on anything as it’s clunky extension makes it uneven on any surface.

I have multiple DeWalt batteries that I use everyday while at work. The largest battery that I have provided just a few seconds more than what the original Dyson is capable of. Any other battery would instantly shut the vacuum off if I try to use max suction. I received a replacement and had the same results. The issue isnt with my batteries... I can go days with constant use using my power tools and with no immediate need to recharge.
