V8 Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Converted to Replace for Dyson V8 Battery, Works with Dyson V8 Series Animal Absolute Vacuum Cleaner(DW20V8 Adapter ONLY)

Works great on the vacuum. Easy to install.

Did not work at first. Finally got it to work. Stopped working at all after the third use.

My OEM battery would only last a couple of minutes, so this allows me to use any of my numerous deWalt batteries and just swap n another one if I run out of juice -- much better utility if a little bulkier than original.

These adapters only work on the low power setting. I tried it on 2 different fully operational dyson v8 vacuums and neither worked so I figured I just got a defective one and switched out a replacement, but had the same result with the replacement, so these just dont work on max power.

Installation was easy and I have 2 fully charged batteries, but the Dyson vac only runs 5 seconds and then I have to remove and replace the battery like it is being reset. Same result with both batteries. Restarts and runs another 5 seconds. Any suggestions?

I wanted to update this review. After using this adapter for the past 5 months. I still think this is the most ingenious mod. It still works flawless and I have enough charge to vacuum my whole house. I have told all my friends. I have a good friend that just bought a new Dyson and has never even used the official battery because he ordered this product. Great job you amazing engineers! This was easy to install and works flawlessly. I am already in the Dewalt tool world and know how the batteries are great performers. I can vacuum my whole house on the high setting without changing the battery. Best mod ever!!!

The package arrived quickly. Easy to install (Just remove and replace your 3 screws from the Dyson) slide a DeWalt battery on and your Good-To-Go. Original Dyson battery (2yrs old) lost charge quickly (lasted less than 5min). This adapter using our DeWalt battery has not shown any difference in the operation of the vacuum. Works GREAT and were able to swap out the DeWalt battery quickly and keep on with the cleaning. Its only been 2 days, so time will tell how well it holds up.

I have multiple DeWalt batteries that I use everyday while at work. The largest battery that I have provided just a few seconds more than what the original Dyson is capable of. Any other battery would instantly shut the vacuum off if I try to use max suction. I received a replacement and had the same results. The issue isnt with my batteries... I can go days with constant use using my power tools and with no immediate need to recharge.

Fully charged Dewalt Brand battery, it keeps turning off intermittently. Tried with 2 different batteries.
