V8 Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Converted to Replace for Dyson V8 Battery, Works with Dyson V8 Series Animal Absolute Vacuum Cleaner(DW20V8 Adapter ONLY)

Had to spend $75 for new Dyson main body…worked well for those few times tho. Not happy

2 Things I have run into that may be a deal breaker for others. First it does not fit back into the wall storage charging station because the base where the battery used to be is now too large, this is without the Dewalt battery of course. Second the smaller 2 amp hour batteries do not work well with this. My guess is that as the battery charge lessens the voltage drops and the vacuum shuts off. I have not had a problem with the 4 or 6 amp hour batteries. It uses a surprising amount of battery when in high and using the brush attachments.

I was really excited for this product. It has great power and last long time, but you can’t put it on the high setting. So you’re forced to vacuum up a low setting everywhere. Sent it back. I got an actual battery replacement and it works fabulous. You can’t vacuum without the high setting.

No Longer fits in the docking station

Great idea, poor execution. I tried 2 of these, both didnt work correctly. I would get about 5 seconds of power, then shutoff. Have to pull and re-insert battery, gets another 5 seconds, repeat.

Actually it saved my vacuum. Y’all will never catch me fighting and looking stupid with a vacuum cord again. But the battery life of my Dyson was throwing me into fits. In comes this gadget, and I can vacuum my whole house twice, and then some! Wish we’d bought it sooner.

Wish I would have dug deeper into the reviews before purchasing. The adapter is easy to install, and fits the Dewalt batteries without issue (which is why it gets 2 stars). But it will not work if your vacuum is set the the Max Suction setting. It will only turn on for 1 second, led goes red, and immediately turns off. Works just fine if you use the lower High Suction setting, but without the ability to use the Max setting (even from time to time)... is a deal breaker for me. Thats the whole reason I bought a Dyson in the first place!!

It did’t work properly

Bought this and swapped it out with the existing battery. It worked good to begin with but after a few days the Dyson quit running. It will now only run then shut off run and shut off. It hesitates and acts like something is holding it back. found out we had to deep clean the dyson. After taking it apart and cleaning then re-assembling it works like a champ and with the dewalt batter it will run all day. recommend
