Ive used it to cut thru brisket, chicken and bread without any problems. I got the 12 inch model and it is a good length of a knife. Long enough that it spans across whatever you are cutting. The handle feels good on the hands and does not slip. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourI use this knife primarily for slicing brisket, although it’s great for carving any meat. It is inexpensive, but I don’t think you can get a better knife for this application at any price. Proof that more money doesn’t necessarily equal a better product. I highly recommend it.

> 24 hourLove this knife for what it is. It has become my second most used knife, behind my laser. When I let my friends use it, the only thing I have to worry about is them taking it home. With my expensive knives, Im worried about them abusing them. Not this gem. It can take all the abuse you can throw at it. It is great for slicing meats, tomatoes, etc. The blunt tip makes it not ideal for chopping onions, but works great for 2 of the 3 cuts. I just use a small paring knife for the cross cut portion.
