These things are great, as are most Wyze products, and priced right. A must have for holiday lighting. Set times for lights to come on and forget about them. If you need to turn them on or off manually, they can be controlled in the app.

I have Wyze plugs, cameras, & doorbell. Love their prices (though dislike the country they come from) I can do anything with my app from across the country. Will always check out their new/older products Give them a try, you wont be disappointed

I bought some Leviton smart outlet plugs and bought these as well. I used these during the Christmas season. Wreathes, Trees, Christmas Villages, Garland, etc. Integrate well with Alexa. Alexa: Turn on Christmas lights. The Wyze app works well to turn them all on/off at once or individually (by name.) Of course Alexa will do that too. But-what I noticed was a wifi reliability issue. One or more plug would drop or lose wifi connectivity. What a pain. Lights would stay on when they were scheduled to turn off. Or they wouldnt turn on. I would have to reprogram them. Just a headache. Not sure if there will be a firmware update to address these issues. That would be great. As far as recommending these plugs - Ill say this, dont expect a perfect, trouble-free relationship. Just know that going in.

Both units went offline a couple of times. To reconnect, I had to add the devices again (no need to delete them, just added on top and the app will use the wifi password stored for the existing device). Other than that, it works as desired. Since I need this mostly to turn on/off a device and lights, it works even if it goes offline. But if I needed to start/stop something at a discretionary time, it may not be online when I need it.

These Wyse plugs work well with Alexa. 2.4GHz… they will NOT work on 5GHz WiFi. And now that I think about it, I will probably get more and plug my Wyse cameras v3 into them. (The cameras have acted inconsistent lately and the only sure way to power them off is to unplug them.) Update: Plugging the Wyse cameras v3 into the Wyse plugs, then putting the camera plugs into an Alexa device group completely simplified the camera! You turn the cameras on, and the plug. Then just shut off the plug(s). When you turn the plug(s) back on the camera resumes the state it was last at (on). So now when I leave the house… It’s “Alexa… turn on Cameras.” And click… click… the Alexa plug group turns on, and all the cameras resume. When I get back I shut the Alexa plug group off from my phone before I enter the house. Much better than using the Wyse App and the damn cameras misbehaving with their last update while you’re home.

This is a GREAT product. Just buy it. FIVE STARS! A great compliment to home security. Can make you look like your home when you’re not through automated “vacation mode” light controls. And much more. Originally I gave it a one star review bc the plug kept dropping off wifi connection. Basically making the plug not an ideal choice for home security. However, there was an OTA firmware update two weeks ago. Since then, none of my plugs have dropped off wifi. Very stable now. Plugs work great now. AMAZING product. Thanks Wyze! p.s. below was my original one star review for context ******** I am a loyal Wyze customer. I have many of their products in my house from cameras, outdoor floodlights, plugs, etc. In total, about 17 wyze products in my home. Many of my Wyze products are GREAT. So it pains me to have to write a negative review on their smart plug. These smart plugs have a huge flaw - they randomly disconnect from their wifi connection. And their is no way to reestablish the wifi connection unless you are physically next to the plug and have to do a hard physical restart. The plug is incapable of reestablishing wifi connection automatically. And you can not prompt it to do so remotely via the app on your smartphone. Since most people will use this plug to control lights when they are away for security reasons (vacation, coming home late from work, etc), this random wifi drop problem makes it a terrible choice as part of a home security setup. Went on two vacations recently. Both over a week long. A few days into each vacation, my app started showing a few of my plugs as “off line”. Basically you can’t control them remotely and they are no long working. Basically your home security with lights going on and off at night is gone. I’ve spoke to customer service many times on this issue. I’ve done it all - hard resents, turning off 5ghz on router so plug can connect to 2.4ghz, erase/reinstall app, etc. Nothing works. When you google this issue, there’s a lot of people out there experiencing the same thing with this plug. Wyze has openly stated they are aware of the issue and have sent firmware updates to fix it. Firmware update have been sent, but the issue is not fixed. This is the first negative Amazon review I have ever written. I hope Wyze reads this and understands that loyal customers of Wyze are super frustrated over this issue. PLEASE FIX THIS. It’s my hope that you can fix this asap. And then I can turn this one star review into a five star! Thank you

If youre looking for a smart plug this one is a great option. Great price and lots of integrations. Just plug it in, open the app, add the plug, and never worry about it again. I have mine added to Google Home and also added to my Samsung phones device control panel. Ive also hooked it up to my StreamDeck using IFTT (free tier). Easy to turn on and off from my phone, smart speaker, and desk. Awesome!

First off, I must say that I really, REALLY wanted to love Wyze and its products given that theyre a young, American start up company and sell their products at reasonable prices. Alas, theyre just not ready for prime time yet: -- I ordered 4 of these plugs and even though Im highly skilled in tech, it took hours of attempts, interactions with Wyze Wizards tech helpers and even after all of that, only two of the 4 plugs worked. -- Sadly, Wyzes tech help/customer service is extremely poor. Their Chat is not live, its all AI bot driven. If that cant help answer your question, you have a choice to either call or email. I gave up holding on the phone, the first time after 22 minutes and the second time after 37 minutes, and opted to email instead. It takes literally DAYS for the Wizards to email you back, only to discover that the Wizard either didnt read my question or didnt understand it, so I had to repeat it, going back and forth several times before getting a more qualified Wizard. All this for a product that literally takes 5 minutes to install when using other brands. Im very disappointed.

Super simple to set up and get connected. I love the way the app lets you schedule. They connect easily with Google home. No issues and I have many all over the house. Used one for landscape light timer that quit and it has been flawless
