Tried these because they are about half the price of most competing smart timers. They work most of the time. The app is clunky and not intuitive. Firmware updates quickly upon initialization and the app finds the devices well (more than can be said of some smart home products) but it sometimes fails to turn on or off. And when I try to manually turn on or off a device, it won’t let me. Instead, the digital slider button will flip and then immediately flip back. But I have continued to order and use them on my house plant lights because they don’t tick like manual timers, cost just the same and work *most* of the time.

The Wyze software sucks. Every time I set up a new plug the firmware needs to be updated before it can be used and I would have to do the update process many times before it stops failing to update. The whole process was very frustrating. I integrate it with google home and the integration process sucks too. Logging into wyze through the google home app, it would not recognize my password and I have to reset it. Once synced, it usually works fine but once in a long while, it will become not accessible through google home and need to be resynced with Wyze account again and usually it wont recognize my Wyze password again and I have to reset it. I only use a few smart plugs and lights. I wonder if it is really worth the trouble to set up a real smart home considering the hassle I went though with just these.

I was in a car wreck and I have trouble getting around so if my floor lamp is behind a piece of furniture I cant get to it easily to turn it off and on and these work perfect. I have several around the house for lights and even one with a fan and they work with my Amazon echo which is so convenient.

Easy to setup and use, but God help you if you need customer support. I was double charged (~$100) for annual monitoring, and after numerous exchanges (each time with a different person), the best answer I could get was an offer of a $20 gift card to their online store to buy more of their stuff… I had to dispute the charges with my cc company.

UPDATE: Connectivity has improved since I switched my 2.4ghz channel to one with less users on it. Doesnt disconnect as much but reconnecting is still an issue. Changed from using Rules to Schedules on each plug. That along with not having them switch on and off at the same time has improved the connectivity in addition to the 2.4ghz channel switch. Now another interesting problem. I have a ghost rule on one of my plugs. I had deleted all the rules, checked all plugs and phones that were connected and still have an old rule on one plug that turns it on. Have tried everything to delete it but to no avail. Ended up putting in a new rule to turn it off immediately. Noticed this is a problem on web forums with Wyze but have not seen any solution. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Purchased 3 of these four months ago. Couldnt get one of them to pair so I contacted Wyze and they replaced it immediately, kudos to customer service. Having said that, I have the three outlets installed within 10 feet of my router, one with adjustable antennas. Two of them obstructed by a piece of furniture, so obstructed line of sight from the router to the plug. Originally, I had no problems with them but in the last two months both drop my WiFi signal at least once per week. I switched one out with another new one, but the same thing keeps happening. Unfortunately, the only way to reboot them is to unplug and plug back in. All of them have the firmware updated but only the one right by my router has consistently stayed connected. As a point of reference, I have a smart TV, Roku stick and Firestick in three other rooms with walls between them and my router and they never drop my WiFi signal. So its either go back to my tried and true mechanical timer, and switch lights off and on, or find another brand thats more reliable.

The 2 I received work nicely. Simple to set up.

Ive been using Wyze home automation products for a couple of years now. I wanted to keep all the devices within the same product brand and Wyze is reasonably good quality with reasonable prices. A couple of weeks ago, one of my Wyze plugs failed, so I ordered 4 new ones and of the 4 only 1 was able to successfully update the firmware. When the firmware update fails, the plug doesnt work. Ive tried every plug at least 10 times, tried reconfiguring my network, contacted support. Nothing worked. Theyre obviously just defective. Apparently Wyze has some defective product on the market right now and until they fix it, I strongly recommend against purchasing Wyze. In addition, Wyze needs a few products added to their product line. In particular, they need a double wall light switch and wall light switches that dont require a neutral wire. It would also be nice if they would make a bulb camera.

I never tried to use with Alexa. But I will say that the app to turn on and off works well. I have some Kasa devices that the scheduling was much simpler to use, but did figure it out. I use this at a property to turn lights on and off at irregular times different days, and so the schedule took me several tries to get them to work. No issues with connectivity.

I purchased one pack of 2, one was installed within minutes and the other did not work. I contacted customer service, they troubleshooted with me and after confirming that they could not get it to work, the company sent me a replacement without any hassle. The plugs work fine, this is my first smart plug so I have nothing to compare to. The app is user friendly, I use the plugs for my growlights and I can set a schedule, and turn it on/ remotely which was exactly what I need it for. Ive been using it for a few months now, no problems with the devices

These plugs work great. I bought four and three worked great. Had a problem with one but customer support took care and sent me a new one. I use them for lighting all over the house. Especially like the schedule feature. Very powerful and flexible.
