> 3 dayBought this after it was mentioned in a video of Alone by Woniya. It is a nice big chuck of flint steel and sparks easily. Big enough to last a lifetime of normal use.

> 3 dayGreat Ferro rod for a stellar price. Throws great spark and is the softer type material that you want. I was pleasantly surprised!

Greater than one weekIts apparently a good little ferro rod that so far seems to work well. I would have given a full 5 stars, except for 2 things that I think ppl should be made aware of. 1) The attached cord is listed and called paracord, as to insinuate its either actual 550 paracord or something similar - well unfortunately it is definitely NOT that. Its just a cheap, flimsy nylon cord. At least on the 3 different versions I received as of 16 Feb, 2022 (I bought 3 of the 1/2x6 inch rod w/ starter-flint kit). And 2) Its unfortunately made in China. I know, some ppl just simply dont care, sadly (and they REALLY should). But Im a combat vet so thats a big deal to me. Whenever at all possible Americans really should buy from American companies and manufacturers. TLDR; The lanyard cord is NOT paracord as listed, but instead a cheap, flimsy nylon-and- its Chi-Com made. Maybe not a dealbreaker for some, but ppl should at least be made aware.
