I buy a bunch of stuff on Amazon and rarely write reviews, even when companies offer me perks. I had to write one for this ferro rod. Its OUTSTANDING! This sparks like mad. I was able to light stuff with this thing that would never light with other rods. My five year old daughter was using it and she could create sparks. Cant imagine ferro rods get better than this. I have a ferro rod with the paracord and sparker as well as the one with just a hole drilled through it. They are both well worth the money. I put both of them back into my cart again and deleted all the others.

This thing will last a LIFETIME!!!!! Very well built.
