Works great. No problems would recommend.

Throws a great spark easily with supplied striker. First strike out of box functionality. Not much else to say about a ferro rod that works. Some rods that look like this rod from others are sometimes a PIA to get a great spark. Not this one.

I liked the size and how big the sparks are. Hold the steel striker in your dominant hand and pull the rod underneath to get big sparks. Aim them at very dry grass or toilet paper to quickly get a fire going. This rid is the right size for my old hands!

This is my 1st ferro rod and I think its a great purchase. Large and long enough for my meaty hands. With a half inch diameter it should last ne a long time.

The 8” rod allows longer strikes you can get much hotter temperatures than advertised, blinding shower of sparks.
