This is the second Dakota alert alarm we have purchased. The first one lasted approximately 10 years. Love this Brand. We use it as a drive way alarm on our farm. Lets us know when someone is hear before they pull up to the door. The signal has to pass through a couple of buildings, and works perfect. It detects the motion VERY well. You can control the volume to very loud to off. Installation was a breeze. We attached it to a wooden pole and tested it. It worked just as well if not better than our older Dakota. I would strongly suggest this Dakota Alert alarm.

Like most electronic items from China, they dont work 100% of the time. This driveway alert works about 9 out of 10 times, not ideal, but better than some others Ive bought on Amazon.

Dakota continues to be the best choice in remote alarms. I have been using them for over 10 years. This new line of products is even better than before and the range is unbelievable. Match one or two base stations and a remote if needed. The entire system is easy to program and install. I highly recommend it and Im NOT getting compensated for this review.

We Use this product to put an alarm system on our boat which is not next to our house but in our neighborhood works well but when its cold it does not go off.

Easy to set up and have had no trouble with it so far

My driveway is 1000 ft to my house. The 1/2 mile distance handles my not clear view and down hill very well. would recommend the DCMA-4000 to all looking for motion detected notification.

WORKED WELL

we bought this because we live in a remote area and some folks are becoming a little brazen with a total lack of respect for others. Our driveway is 2600 long and shaped life a boomerang, so the entrance is about 1200 the way the crow flies. Its wooded with dense mountain laurel. N.Central Ma. . Doesnt reach. After many relocations it finally worked from about 500. That being said, it gives you about 45 seconds to grab your weapon of choice and get to the door. So it does work,however, its probably best suited for someone in the Mid West. Here in the wooded hills and mountains of New England, not so much. We have a large population of deer, turkey, bear, wolves ,coyotes, moose, you name we seem to have it and they all trigger the alarm. Lots of false flags so its hard to train the dogs. Thats been our experience. Hope it helps in your decision making.

I cant speak t the adjustment of volume, but the sensitivity in motion range and the loudness of the siren lets me finally sleep in peace knowing that if someone is coming, Ill know. I use different systems with redundancy because if wi-fi is out, or someone cut electric wires on the camera, cell towers down. its all happened. This does not disappoint and at a great price!

Very good alert it’s very accurate no fake alerts highly recommend it
