Works well. Have had some issues installing but once installed, works well with Apple Home App.

I have 4 of these outlets; about every 2 months, half to all of them stop working and cant be reached. Then in order to reinstall them, the normal Homekit install process doesnt work and you have to join the device wifi network and install each one manually. Nevertheless, this seems to be the only real option for controlling outlets and works most of the time.

All the reviews that say easy to install... I have no idea what they are talking about, unless there are certain serial numbers of these plugs with the right software/hardware out of the factory that work amazingly, and other serial numbers still lingering in Amazon warehouses to be sent out that are doomed. But I ordered these both in Dec 2021 and in July 2022, first 4 plugs, then 8 plugs, and I ended up returning them all within the first day of use. First 4 couldnt deal with my 2.4/5Ghz mesh network where the networks shared the same name. But since then I upgraded to Orbi 960 6E mesh which has 6G and 2.4G networks named separately. Cool, I thought. Both a better network setup on my part and hopefully newer plugs with factory-upgraded firmware that know how to work on HomeKit better than 6 months earlier. Nope. I tried everything documented and undocumented, as well as tips & tricks mentioned in these comments, to get them onto my 2.4GHz home network along with my iPhone (everything was the latest version: iPhone, iOS and Meross app) and none of them connected properly, not via HomeKit, not via Meross app. Tried to connect them in the app, or without the app in HomeKit, or as a non-HomeKit device (by going through the Wifi network of the plug), in all cases the post factory-reset plug would switch from green/amber flashing LED to solid green LED, yet no connection to the app or HomeKit would be established. Checked on the routers admin page, and they were NOT blocked by the router, assigned their IP, properly shown as properly connected to the 2.4G wireless network with their correct MAC address. Therefore, I couldnt even check or update their firmware! Unless you want to try out your luck, Id say you stay away from these. In this day and age of 5G/6G mesh networks in many many homes, their 2.4G-only requirement and non-intuitive setup process, unchanged over 6 months, made me totally lose trust in this brand. Ill certainly wont give them a 3rd chance at making a first impression.

My review will be focused on HomeKit functionality, as this is why I purchased this product. First off I ordered a 4 pack, shipping is always great with prime so no need to go into details on that. So far I have only been able to get 2 of the 4 added to my HomeKit setup. I did have to work around a few things to get those two synced as I have an Orbi mesh WiFi system. With that I have been unable to get the other 2 to sync. Now mind you with the Meross application I can get the devices to join the network so there is no issue with the 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz issues on my end. My problem is strictly with the devices ability to connect to HomeKit which right now I am at 50% being able to connect. Once the devices are connected and functioning I have had nothing but great success (with the 2 connected). They are responsive and have both been setup on automation based on times of the day as they both have Christmas lights plugged into them. Overall I gave the product 3 stars as the items claims to be easy to connect to HomeKit which is not truly the case (at least for me) again people may claim “well you have a mesh WiFi router” which is true. However, if that truly was an issue, then why after I try to connect the device through HomeKit and it fails, does it connect and function through the Meross application? Like I said I wanted this product strictly for the HomeKit compatibility.

I have a new Orbi mesh router with strong Wi-Fi coverage but these plugs don’t stay connected. I have to unplug and plug them back at least once a week. A firmware update has fixes the issues.

So, I use these for lighting in my apartment since they do not have lights in them and use them for the bedrooms and living room to power on lights but to also automate them to turn off when I leave and turn on when I get home automatically. I specifically use homekit and these added just fine. I did download the meross app only to update the firmware on them and then deleted the meross app afterwards. I have no complaints on them. I use a wireless router that have the 2.4 and 5 frequency and combined with the same wifi name and had no issues and they react immediately when using voice control and manual button on the app. Just remember when you have set them up, to update the firmware as they come with older firmware which is expected.

These power adapters connected easily and directly to HomeKit, and did not require a meross application to configure. They respond quickly to control inputs, and are similar size and shape to all the other outlets I have. The price was excellent, and delivery was incredibly fast.

These are very easy to set up once you understand the process. You run the Home app, add an accessory, and scan the Q-code with your phone. Next you immediately plug it into an open plug so that the device can be found via WiFi. I recommend doing this with an easily accessible plug *near* your WiFi router initially before taking it to its destination. Why? The set up can take longer with a plug farther away and sometimes it would not complete when further away. So I would have to bring it closer, and try again. Once the plug is added, you can easily take it further away without any operational issues (so long as you are in WiFi range of course).
